The Chief of Surgery used himself as an example, encouraging everyone to pool their ideas and improve together.

Adam cooperated as well, offering plenty of thoughts on the Chief's surgery. He also casually left out certain details, prompting Dr. Burke and the others to fill in the gaps before sincerely praising and thanking them.

His gaze occasionally swept over Cristina, Shorty, and the others, signaling for them to think more and ask more questions, encouraging even more doctors in the audience to participate.

With the Chief of Surgery presiding, a few well-placed moves quickly heated up the atmosphere of the seminar.

Most people liked this kind of atmosphere.

In the past,

many people asked questions with personal feelings mixed in.

For example, after Dr. Bailey had gotten pregnant and given birth, during her first month back at work, when she took the stage,

a resident who was jealous of Dr. Bailey bluntly asked, "Could the hormonal fluctuations from your pregnancy and childbirth have affected your surgical performance?"

In a later era, no one would dare ask something like that in public.

Otherwise, once a huge label was slapped on them, that resident who had seized the opportunity to stir things up would be lucky not to get punched to death. Either way, they would pay dearly for it.

But this was not yet as extreme as later times, and this was a hospital. Hormonal fluctuations really could affect a person's condition.

So even though Dr. Bailey knew perfectly well that the other person was merely venting emotions and attacking her, she only suppressed her displeasure and explained, "No."

"You can't be certain."

That resident pressed on like an argumentative pest.

"There is surgical footage."

Dr. Bailey took a deep breath and said expressionlessly,
