Family Mobilization
The next two weeks.
Adam, Juno, Karen all spent their time amidst the banging.
From pistols to rifles, from stationary targets to moving targets, from close-range individual shooting to long-range team combat, shooting accuracy and speed are constantly improving.
In Old Mike's eyes, Adam was just there to show off and impress. His shooting skills were top-notch, even surpassing Mike's.
So later he stopped paying attention to Adam and spent more time teaching Juno and Karen.
Juno and the other two's situations are consistent with the growth trajectory of talented newcomers, who grow rapidly with the support of large sums of money to buy bullets.
This once again proves the traditional United States trick: you have to spend money to become stronger!
Needless to say, Adam is not short of money at all.
Karen is the kind of person who could easily go to any community college in Boston just to accompany her child, and her family is not short of money.
Juno is slightly less capable than the other two, but she's not short of money.
Because they were under 21 and couldn't buy handguns, and since they hadn't bought the cabin yet, Adam and his two companions weren't in a hurry to apply for gun licenses or buy firearms.
It's December 22nd now.
Queen of Heaven will be Christmas Eve and Christmas.
The Duncan family is planning to fly to Palm Springs, where his grandparents live, tomorrow to spend Christmas with them.
"Charlie, do you know? Tomorrow you'll be on an airplane for the first time and visiting your grandma's house for Christmas for the first time. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun."
As always, the second son, Teddy, lovingly filmed a video diary for his little sister Charlie.
No, no, no.
The mother, Amy, appears on camera, talking on the phone with her grandmother. "Mom, you must take protective measures in your house. All fragile items must be placed at least one meter off the ground..."
Before he could finish speaking, a snapping sound rang out!
The two looked in the direction of the sound and saw a broken vase at Charlie's feet.
"Oops!"
Seeing that things were going badly, Charlie took off running away on her short legs.
"... Add another 30 centimeters! That's it!"
Amy, her head throbbing, hung up the phone and yelled at Charlie to come over, but then exclaimed, "No, no, don't come over! There are shards of porcelain all over the floor!"
After cleaning up the broken porcelain shards, she grabbed Charlie, placed her on her special chair, and made her sit quietly as punishment.
Charlie looked at Adam with pitiful eyes.
"Don't look at me, it's your fault for breaking the vase."
Adam shrugged and smiled.
Charlie turned her head away unhappily.
Adam just smiled.
Charlie is at an age where she is active, mischievous, and wants to destroy everything; simply indulging her is not the solution.
Punish her for making mistakes, let her know what she can and cannot do, that's the best approach.
"Honey, I've got a treasure for you!"
Bob, the father, pushed the door open, carrying a stroller, and exclaimed excitedly, "I got this for $30!"
"A stroller?"
Mom Amy was speechless. What kind of precious baby is this?
"Yes, it's a stroller."
Bob, the father, enthusiastically introduced, "It's a foldable stroller that can be used with both car seats and airplane seats. As soon as I press a button, the push handle retracts immediately."
He pressed the button, but nothing happened.
His mother, Amy, immediately put her hands on her hips, pursed her lips, and glared at him.
"That's how it is in theory..."
Bob, the father, explained, and under his wife's intimidating gaze, he quickly fiddled with the product, trying to demonstrate its stretching function. But there are always junk products that are touted as amazing when sold but come with many defects, no matter where you go.
Clearly, he had found such a great treasure.
Where is Gabe?
Amy, suppressing her anger, looked around and, not seeing her third son, asked aloud.
Where else could it be?
Adam gestured towards the upstairs area with his chin.
"Gabe!!"
Mom Amy stormed upstairs, opened the door to her third son's room, and sure enough, she found Gabe engrossed in playing video games, not even noticing her coming in.
"We're leaving first thing tomorrow morning, have you packed your things yet?"
Mom Amy stood directly in front of the game console screen, arms crossed, and sneered.
"It's all packed up."
Gabe stood up, trying to walk around her to continue playing, but Amy blocked him from the left and right, refusing to let him pass. Helpless, he had no choice but to put down the game controller temporarily and said with a forced smile.
Where are your things?
My mom, Amy, doesn't buy into that at all.
"Here!"
Gabe immediately pointed to the latest game console Adam had bought for him.
"You're not allowed to bring your game console to your grandma's house."
"Mom, Amy, said angrily."
"Oh~"
Gabe immediately wailed, "Christmas is so boring!"
Then, looking at Amy expectantly, he said, "How about I stay home and you go to Grandma's house?"
Wherever there's a game console, that's his happy holiday.
"No!"
Mom Amy firmly refused, threatening, "I'll come up again later. If you haven't packed your things by then, I'll confiscate your game console for a month."
"This is not fair."
Gabe still wanted to resist.
"Two months!"
Mom Amy held up two fingers with a cold smile.
"I'll pack it right away."
Gabe immediately understood.
downstairs.
"My mom's acting a bit strange."
The second son Teddy, pointed to the angry roar coming from upstairs.
"Hormones are to blame."
Adam chuckled dismissively, "So just don't make her angry lately."
Bob, who was struggling with the stroller and sweating profusely, looked up and interjected, "Adam is right, or you'll be in for a beating."
"Whose fault is this?"
The second son Teddy, glared at him disdainfully. "I warned you countless times four years ago."
Bob, the father, was immediately speechless with embarrassment.
Amy, the mother, looked around and, seeing everyone trembling in fear under her maternal authority, nodded in satisfaction.
The next day.
Early in the morning.
The mischievous third brother, Gabe, sneaked into Adam's room, intending to strap the game controller to Adam's chest, naively hoping to fool Adam first and then the security checkpoint.
They really go all out for playing games.
If it were his predecessor PJ, it might have been possible. Adam naturally kicked him in the butt, sending him flying, and then informed his mother Amy, who confiscated his game console.
Just kidding, if you actually get caught during security checks, even if nothing happens afterward, you'll still face the strictest inspection.
Adam didn't want to try that kind of scale.
After everyone was ready, the Duncan family headed to the airport.
Because there were too many people, one car couldn't fit them all, Adam asked Juno to help drive them back, and he and Karen each drove one car back.
Airport.
After suppressing Gabe, the Duncan family was still a bit flustered, but they managed to pass through security and board the plane.
Adam, Teddy, Gabe sat in a row.
Dad Bob and Mom Amy sat in the row in front of Adam and the others, flanked by their youngest child Charlie.
Just as Adam was secretly relieved, thinking that everything was going smoothly, an unexpected change occurred...
