• Adele Isabella found Emilia in Shade’s ruined home at 6 Saint Derain Square and explained that Emilia’s consciousness had been projected into the Doomsday Era of the Past.
• Adele told Emilia about the Sixth Epoch’s six restarts, and Emilia realized the Ancient One had arranged for her to learn the Truth of Time and receive the World Tree’s roots.
• Adele explained that Emilia’s travels through different eras were helping the World Tree’s seed sprout, then asked what secret Emilia knew about Vesta Woodland.

• Shade combined the powers of Time and Moon with the Demigod Witches’ aid and struck the Ancient One, but their collision left Shade badly hurt and the woodland shaking.

• Shade realized that his Words of Sublimation could guide the final direction, and the Silver Moon’s Shadow summoned Luvia through his shadow.
• The Ancient One sealed Shade between its hands, but yellow sand and shadow spilled out and forced its palms apart.

• Long-Haired Luvia’s arrival silenced Vesta Woodland, freed Thomas Bennett from the Ancient One’s control, and sent diviners and onlookers across the region into alarm.

• The old man explained that the Time Scar would engulf Vesta Woodland, unleash time-traveling monsters, and bring Doomsday closer if left unsuppressed.
• Shade learned that only someone with the World Tree’s ancient power and the Chosen One’s seed could sit on the throne, and that the staff was dead.
• Emilia pleaded to become the Tree and protect the world, but the old man warned that whoever sat on the throne could never leave it.

• Shade asked Professor Yuke Wood whether a time-focused Mystic Lock could seal the Time Scar, but Wood said it required power beyond Shade, Adele, Luvia, and the Yggdrasil Staff combined.
• The assembled Witches and others opposed Shade sacrificing himself, while Shade clarified that he was searching for a way to seal the scar without turning into a tree.

• The Duchess presented Shade with a sealed stone box, and he used the werewolf girl’s crescent pendant to turn it to dust and reveal an ancient roll of World Tree bark.
• Shade showed the old man that the bark held the original story of his Mystic Lock, and the old man agreed that it might help but warned him to use the chair if the attempt failed.
