Shade and his allies completed the Pilgrimage of Fate, prepared to confront the House of False Men, and celebrated the Ten Thousand Spirits Festival. In the Time Corridor, Shade destroyed the Curse-Eroded Great Tree and vowed to make it bear a fruit containing the soul he and Danist longed for.

• Shade and the maids traced the House of False Men’s Doppelgangers, while Matilda and Miss Pensite uncovered a blood source near Snake Heart Hospital.
• Luvia led Emilia, Miss Sabelle, Little Liana, and Ellie along the Trajectory of Destiny, overcame the Father’s attack, and reached the Old Gods of Fate’s archway alone.
• Luvia completed the Pilgrimage Road by giving up her Chosen One qualification, gained the Enlightenment-Audience Spirit Rune, and claimed the Fate Base.
• Shade and Luvia completed the pilgrimage, while Shade secretly kept his mark from Mr. Misfortune and learned the god might descend again to find him.
• Shade and the Witches prepared to enter the House of False Men after the festival, while Shade investigated Euclid’s Moon Ruins and Major Rades’s dream of dying from the Gun of Kindness.
• At the Bonfire Party, Claire and the elders sent twenty-one warriors up Snow Mountain with Kindling, while Shade danced with Claire, Sivie, and Emilia during the celebrations.
• Shade warned the Great Witches that the Speaker might be ready to resist a rebellion, then Dorothy showed him the dangerous Dark Fairy Tale version of Snow White Princess.
• In the Time Corridor, Shade destroyed the Curse-Eroded Great Tree, defeated its curse aggregate, and returned home to await Adele.

Shade reunited with Adele, then fought to rescue Little Liana from the House of False Men as the relic expanded into Flesh City. After defeating the Doppelganger and helping Ellie recover, he investigated Fate Dice and learned that Black Hand-Tifron had helped push the relic beyond its limits.

• Shade visited Adele in the ruined future, learned the Moon Ash ritual, and returned to 1855 to meet the Elders.
• Shade and the Elders fought a Shay Imposter on Snow Mountain, and Shade used Primordial Fire and Mystic Lock—Tree's Kiss to stabilize the summit.
• Shade and Claire found Ellie injured and learned that Little Liana had been taken to the House of False Men.
• Shade, Ellie, and Winnie fought through the relic, rescued Little Liana, and entered its growing Flesh City as reinforcements arrived.
• Shade and Sister Devlin attacked the Doppelganger, and after Ellie swallowed him to save him, Shade absorbed the Blood Lake and gained power over Flesh City.
• Shade, Daniste, and their allies defeated the Doppelganger, freed Ellie, and escaped the House of False Men with the Unicorns.
• The Unicorns treated Ellie, who transformed into a human girl and back before stabilizing as a Unicorn with a pale pink scar, and Shade later discussed the failed festival ritual and Moon Phase Whisper with his companions.
• Shade learned about Fate Dice from Mr. Mortis and the diviners, then told the Doctor that Black Hand-Tifron had helped mutate the relic, prompting the Doctor to propose a risky Demon-related divination.

Shade investigated Black Hand-Tifron’s connection to the Primordial Demon, confronted the Misfortune Order over Clement Kruger, and rescued Miss Coens from the demon possessing her. He left the hotel with Lady Gerd after learning more about her mother’s research and receiving a new task from the Lord of Walls.

• Doctor Schneider confirmed that Black Hand-Tifron’s power came from the Demon King’s blood, and Shade learned that the Primordial Demon’s hidden fragments were sought by the Demon of Weapons.
• Shade investigated the Hermits’ records and learned about the Chosen One Ritual, then used the Holy Bell to repel the Misfortune Order when Archbishop Kalle Fortuna demanded Clement Kruger.
• Shade learned that Mr. Snake was the sealed Infinite Snake and that he had altered Clement’s Destiny with borrowed luck, while the snake-eye gemstone Clement received became a lead for Shade and Megan.
• Shade entered the hotel’s Demon Room, rescued a possessed Witch, and later discovered that Miss Coens was an illusion while the real Miss Coens had fled into the hotel.
• Shade and Miss Novare explored the distorted rooms on the 25th Floor, defeated the Spiral Evil Being, and found Miss Coens possessed by the Demon she had been hunting.
• Shade used a black dagger and Miss Coens’s Demon Hunting Seal to expel the Demon, then sealed it in a miniature coffin as Lady Gerd stabilized Miss Coens and another unconscious Witch.
• Lady Gerd told Shade about her mother’s Human Transmutation research and the disappearance of her snake-related subjects and records, then confirmed that she herself had been naturally born.
• Shade asked the Lord of Walls to accept Nagur as a guest and learned he must reach the disconnected 40th Floor, then received a Solidified Fate coin and returned with Lady Gerd to the Safe Room.

Shade and his allies uncovered Mr. Snake’s temple, saved a child whose fate he had claimed, and learned how candidates could trade Fate Dice for powerful items. Shade returned home with the Snake Fang and new knowledge of the coming stories, while preparations began for the journey to Fatumonst Island.

• Shade and Miss Novare explored the upper floors of Whisper Hills, found the Moon Beast’s eye had been left with the god, and discovered that Destiny blocked the 40th Floor.
• Shade investigated the Black-haired Witch’s dream and found her body buried beneath the Ice Field, while Luvia identified the Rune Lock as a Destiny barrier.
• Shade met the Seer Association and traded information about Pilgrim’s Path for its Snake Fang, then secured Stella a place in the Grand Fate Symphony as a Core Musician.
• Shade and the Association traced a child’s vanishing fate to an ancient temple, where they confronted Mr. Snake and Shade paid Fate Dice to free her.
• The child died, but Shade revived her with the Soul-Soothing Angel’s feather and named her Belen, after Sister Belen.
• Shade discovered that candidates could exchange Fate Dice for items and Miracles, while Mr. Mortis used a Snake Eye to see a mysterious falling object in the temple murals.
• Shade learned that Fatumonst Island preparations were underway, and Claire told him that the Fatu Elders had found a hidden valley containing a Serpent’s Shedding, a stone zither, and a Snake Skin Scroll.
• Aisha Eisberg arrived at Snow Mountain Hall and introduced herself to Claire as Stella’s aunt by seniority.
