Shade pursued Daknis into the Darkness Domain to rescue Luvia, then joined Tifa in searching for Miss Galina and the domain’s core. As the darkness intensified, crystals began consuming Tifa in the Crystalline Forest.

• Shade won the card game against Marquis Grasley, while Galina warned him that the world was growing more dangerous.
• Shade helped the clergy speak with Kassenric diplomats, then joined Sari Pirot in confronting Ivan Daknis after Daknis took Little Dimock hostage.
• Shade tracked Daknis with Luvia and learned that Daknis planned to enter the Darkness Domain with the Weeper of Blood Hermons to pursue the Golden Human.
• After Priest Augustus blessed him, Shade entered the Darkness Domain and found Luvia unconscious in Forrester Town, then helped her gather and protect the sleeping diviners.
• Shade entered a cornfield alone to confront a demon, used the Time Key to consult Mister Riddell, and helped him win the card battle with the Man of the Future.
• Shade escaped the living Terror Castle, gained Breath of Time, and reunited with Luvia before reaching Miss Galina’s manor, where Tifa showed him the Darkness Box.
• Shade and Tifa rode toward the domain’s core, passed Church forces and the aftermath of the Weeper of Blood’s defeat, and learned that Miss Galina had entered the forest.
• Shade and Tifa entered the Crystalline Forest and hid from demons, but spreading crystals engulfed Tifa as darkness streamed toward the forest’s center.

Shade and his allies defeated Daknis in the Darkness Domain, where Shade reached the Third Ring and gained Feliana’s Witch Light. After the group investigated the escaped Pus of Man and faced an Academy inquiry, Shade opened the Dark Dungeon and took on a new assignment involving Virgil Cameron.

• Shade joined Iluna in confronting Daknis, absorbed the darkness he unleashed, and used Miss Falianna’s Witch Light to free the trapped Ring Arcanists and advance to the Third Ring.
• Shade and Iluna killed Daknis as the Darkness Domain receded, while the Demon escaped and Miss Feliana gave Shade, Tifa, and Iluna gifts before vanishing.
• Shade told Miss Galina what had happened, then pursued the Pus of Man with Tifa and learned that Doctor Schneider had devoured it to gain power for reclaiming stolen souls.
• The Academy questioned Shade and his companions about Miss Falianna, then Miss Danist warned Shade to avoid drawing attention to the relic while Leisha learned that he had already reached the Third Ring.
• Shade reunited with Iluna and Luvia, who shared news of their new powers and divination progress, then opened the Dark Dungeon for them to explore.

Shade and Iluna uncovered Toby Yulian’s use of a forbidden marriage contract, while Shade entered a time-travel trial and gained a change to his eyes. Shade advanced through the Great City Player tournament to face Virgil Cameron in the final, with Cameron secretly passing him a note as their match began.

• Shade and Iluna traced the stolen cemetery bodies to Toby Yulian and discovered he had used the Glowenston Marriage Contract to raise his sister Annie as a Corpse Bride.
• Shade and Iluna defeated Annie’s phantoms, erased the names from the contract, and helped Annie’s soul move on, giving Iluna the Tragedy rune.
• Shade deciphered Detective Sparrow Hamilton’s coded messages, learned the Gray-headed Eagle mission involved Virgil Cameron, and chose not to pass intelligence to Kasonlik.
• Shade used the Key of 3014 to attend Duke Lawell’s vampire banquet, where he drank Blood Brew and absorbed Star Sea Whale blood that altered his eyes.
• Shade began competing in the Great City Player semifinals, winning matches while arranging to buy rare blood for the God of Vampires’ future demand.
• Shade studied with Leisha, secured Abyss-Eyed Dragon Squid blood through Miss Galina, and defeated Professor Wilde and Captain Butler to reach the final.
• Shade entered the final against Virgil Cameron with Tifa, after agreeing to watch Cameron for Director Anlos, and noticed Cameron pass him a note and carry a relic coin.

After winning the Great City Player championship, Shade learned that Priest Augustus was trapped in Life and Death Limbo beneath Sikar Mountain. With the Order of Spiritual Cultivation’s help, he entered the Limbo to find the priest and encountered a dying soldier and a vampire protecting a boy.

• Shade defeated Virgil Cameron to win the Great City Player championship, then received a final message from the dead Priest Augustus in a dream.
• Shade learned that Augustus was trapped in Life and Death Limbo near Middhir Fort City and traveled there to follow the priest’s trail.
• Shade discovered that a Corpse Ghoul had driven Augustus into the Limbo, and Sister Devlin agreed to help him enter and attempt a rescue.
• Shade learned of the Church’s preparations for a major ritual beneath Sikar Mountain, then entered the Limbo through the Order’s ritual at Russell Manor.
• Shade explored the dead reflection of Sikar Mountain and Middhir Fort City, killing evil spirits as he followed Augustus’s holy emblem.
• Shade killed an evil spirit that had impaled a Delarion corporal, but the soldier died after asking him to deliver his pistol to Captain Ronald.
• Shade followed the emblem through the city, encountered a vampire protecting a boy, and destroyed the evil spirit attacking them.
