After their farewell kiss, Luvia returned to the Bountiful Earth Inn to rest, while Shade went back home in Tobesk and saw Little Mia, whom he had not seen all day.

He still had no clues whatsoever about that Time Key. So he planned to visit the Local Black Market tomorrow, Thursday, before going to see the old gentleman Priest Augustus had mentioned, the one he owed ten pence. If he still found nothing, he would wait until Margaret arrived in Randall River Valley on Friday. Her Royal Highness the Princess might be able to help him.

This should have been a peaceful night. After washing up, Shade extinguished the gas lamp in his room. But after saying goodnight to Mia beside his pillow and closing his eyes as usual, he immediately realized that he was about to dream.

But this time, he did not fall into that dream of gazing at the enormous Silver Moon from a field ridge. Instead, he kept falling through the air until, like a feather, he landed on a grassy clearing in the woods beneath the moonlight.

Lush vegetation flourished all around him. Green grass grew beneath him, and flowers bloomed. Moonlight streamed through gaps between the treetops, leaving streaks of light in the woods, while the cries of animals, birds, and insects mingled with the evening breeze rustling through the forest.

Firefly-like points of light swayed gently among the trees and over the grass. The scene was like the truest fairy tale.

Shade braced himself on the ground and stood up. He first examined the golden mottled marks on his skin, then looked up at the three full moons in the sky, before surveying the clearing in all directions.

"Is this the dream Whisper Element, the Emerald Dream?"

Yes.
