"Are you always this good with words?"
Megan went from pursing her lips to biting her lower lip.
"My matters can wait until next week. I'm waiting for a very important guest. As for what we discussed, it wasn't anything important. We talked about their grandfather and my father, about their lives after leaving that island. I also mentioned what had happened recently. We both agreed that no matter what Ancestor wanted to do, he definitely had no good intentions. Good people do not cooperate with cultists."
Shade, who had accepted a drop of divinity from an evil god, was too embarrassed to say anything.
"The brothers are quite interesting. I'll arrange for my people to contact them again later. But first, I need to find out where they came from—what Ring Arcanist organization they belong to."
The advancement methods of Ring Arcanists meant that no one could become a Ring Arcanist merely by reading a few books and figuring things out alone. Every Ring Arcanist had to be backed by some organization. The Follen Brothers were both five-ringers and not weak, so they certainly had an organization of their own.
"They do not seem to be from the Three Great Academies, much less The Church. And there are only a few well-known Ring Arcanist organizations in the Wilundell Region."
"You can decide for yourself. I'll continue contacting the Follen Brothers as well. Unless it becomes absolutely necessary, do not involve them in matters concerning the Chosen Ones. People only know how powerful the Chosen Ones are, but they do not know how many responsibilities and troubles that identity carries."
Shade sighed. Of the three Chosen Ones currently alive, Iluna aside, neither Sister Devlin nor the Guardian of the Earth looked like normal people.
"You really do know everything."
