As Shade's figure rose from the lake's surface toward the night sky, grain-sized black shadows appeared at the edges of the three moons high above.
They spread toward the other parts of the moons.
The speed was difficult to notice with the naked eye.
But Luvia, standing before the astronomical telescope on the third floor of 6 Saint Derain Square, caught it for the first time.
She stepped away from the telescope and checked the time with her pocket watch.
After recording it, she looked through the telescope again, her pencil swiftly sketching the moons' current shapes onto white paper.
Though busy with her own work, the Girl with Purple Eyes was still worried about Shade.
He should have returned home by now, yet he still had not come back.
"Meow~"
Hearing the cat's cry, she turned and saw Little Mia at the doorway.
The cat lowered her head and meowed.
"You're worried about Shade too?"
She softly asked, setting down her paper and pencil.
She took out the late night snack Shade had prepared for her from beneath an overturned food cover and placed it on the table for the cat.
Then she hurried to the desk and picked up her Tarot Cards. Without any preparation, she casually drew one. Her lovely brows immediately furrowed.
