Therefore, most task descriptions on the list were rather vague. To complete them, one would probably first have to figure out what exactly they meant.
While eating breakfast at home that morning, Shade had already decided what he would do. The simple tasks could be left to the Witches' Followers, while the most difficult ones would likely require the Great Witches to act personally.
Shade had set his sights on a task involving the handling of unknown materials. The task he had chosen was called "Calm Ascetic."
The task description was relatively simple. A Delarion noble who had come to attend a local conference had indulged in debauchery and revelry in his youth. Yet after reaching middle age, he successively lost his wife, children, and most of his family in accidents. The middle-aged noble then saw the light, strictly demanding of himself a pure, ascetic life, and imitating the Church's ascetics in hopes of attaining peace of both mind and body during the rest of his life.
After arriving in Green Lake City, the noble had apparently come into contact with some kind of hallucinogenic drug, causing his life form to gradually depart from that of a creature of flesh and blood. The task required saving the noble and recovering those hallucinogenic items.
Shade had a feeling that he would definitely encounter an interesting story this time.
The Witches' information did not clearly state which Delarion noble was being referred to. But because it specified that he had "come from Tobesk," Shade only needed to visit Miss Galina, who was
