The "her" by her ear laughed gently.
After Audrey finished examining Megan's two arms that had appeared from her birthmark and put them away, she looked at Luvia again with a little more respect in her eyes. Before meeting this fabled diviner, she had wanted to overwhelm her in presence, lest she be "bullied" by her as Galina had done.
But her mindset changed at once. Luvia Annette was very friendly toward her, and though she was not powerful, she was certainly no ordinary person. Audrey pursed her lips, unsure what to say, and the Girl with Purple Eyes spoke softly:
"The story of the future is still long. I can see the arc of destiny. The dangers and trials will only grow more numerous, and Shade needs the Witches' strength."
"Yes."
Audrey nodded. Her golden eyes looked at the person before her, and she finally understood somewhat why the other Witches spoke so highly of Luvia:
"Shade really was lucky to meet you first."
That made Luvia a little embarrassed, so she looked at Shade:
"Didn't we prepare a gift this morning?"
"What? Oh, right."
Shade took a small ruby butterfly pendant suspended on a silk thread from his pocket. After brushing away Little Mia's paws, he handed it to Luvia.
Luvia gestured for Audrey to lower her head, then personally hung it around her neck:
"This is a pendant once blessed by the Church of the Old God of the Fifth Epoch—the Twins God. It suits you perfectly, so take it as a gift."
This gift had come from God's Gift Box that morning. Though it was merely an ancient Divine Art Item rather than a
