"I don't need to relay those words back. Her Highness sent me here this time partly because I have matters of my own to handle, and partly to help you resolve the trouble with that batch of goods as quickly as possible."
He looked at the woman before him.
"We can't delay any longer."
"I understand. Miss Princess instructed us to assist you. Whatever orders you give, we are to obey them."
Though it was a rather strange order, Leisha's subordinates were quite willing to carry it out. Shade could only say that her leadership truly was first-rate.
Although Princess Trading Partner had many subordinates, very few of them knew Leisha's true identity. There were three people capable of contacting Tobesk directly. Besides the fierce-looking, pirate-like Anne Bonnie, there were also William Kidd and George Robert.
The former was a proper merchant in his forties and the oldest of the three. The latter was in his early thirties, a baron, though the sort of down-and-out noble who no longer possessed family property or lands.
Anne Bonnie was responsible for handling matters in the shadows.
Mr. William Kidd was responsible for purchasing goods, nominally operating the small fleet, and falsifying accounts, while Baron George Robert handled the various connections throughout Moon Bay City. The three had clearly divided responsibilities, and they also kept quite a number of enforcers. Though the trading company was not well known, it still counted as a force in the eyes of the Dock Area underworld.
That afternoon, all three met with Shade. After confirming his identity, they all stated that they could obey any order he gave.
The conversation was then moved to the study on the top floor of the three-story building. Shade wanted to learn exactly where Leisha's batch of goods had gotten stuck.
