Ever since coming down from the attic, Shade had heard Little Mia excitedly running upstairs. But when Little Mia saw him, she sniffed him, then turned around and wagged her tail as she left the way she had come, once again reminding Shade that he needed a bath as soon as possible.
After a day out, returning home was as pleasant as ever. After taking Little Mia out for dinner, Miss Galina, whom he had written to that morning to arrange a meeting, visited 6 Saint Derain Square again at seven in the evening with the maids.
