A gentle voice sounded by his ear. Stepping out of the White Fog, Shade returned to his warm, comfortable home.
The cat, having changed back from a toy, merely gave its body a vigorous shake, flinging off the little moisture on its fur. Then it happily went to wait by the table for breakfast.
But Shade did not possess the cat's peculiar ability. Fortunately, he had told them beforehand about the trouble he would encounter in the past, so the maids had already prepared fresh clothes for him.
By the time Shade had cleaned himself up and emerged from the washroom, the Red-haired Duchess had also come out of the bedroom. Mia's long-awaited breakfast finally began, and Miss Galina lazily ate while listening to Shade recount what had just happened.
