Shade summoned the Moonbeam Greatsword and followed Mr. Bernhardt forward. Since the temperature here was still frighteningly cold, that resentful spirit could not have gone far. Shade had thought they would find it quickly, but after circling through the sewers for quite a while, they unexpectedly returned to the secret passage connecting the riverbank and the bathhouse.
Though suspicious and suspecting a trap, the two of them continued following the scent of the resentful spirit and turned into another branch passage they had not yet investigated. After advancing for over ten minutes, Mr. Bernhardt stopped before a wall in the middle of the tunnel:

Enhanced Space Perception also indicated that it was hollow. In fact, Shade had noticed this place that morning, but the map differed somewhat from reality. Without seeing it for himself, he could not determine whether this was an unmarked branch passage or something else.
"There should be a hidden door."
Mr. Bernhardt spoke again, taking a step back to let Shade move forward. He watched as Shade turned sideways and slammed forward, smashing the wall apart with a deafening crash. As bricks and stones fell to the ground, Mr. Bernhardt saw the long stones blocking the passage behind the wall shatter, wooden rods break, and metal bars bend.
Shade merely shook out his arm.
"A hidden door sealed from the inside by human hands. Looks like we've finally found it."
Not far away inside the hidden door lay a corpse that had committed suicide. After Spirit Communication yielded no result, they
