"What? Blood of Sorrow?"
When Shade returned to Belinder Manor that evening, he happened to run into the witch returning from city hall. Since he was still not certain, Shade did not mention John Flynn claiming to be a Chosen One. He only brought up the Bloodkin's Holy Sword, but that was still enough to startle the Countess:
"First, you were looking for the Hope Diamond. Then there was The Only Existence I had already obtained, the Dice Story Collection from when we first met, and now there is another Sage Level longsword. Just when did Moon Bay end up with so many high-level relics?"
"I can't answer that question. But since we've determined that this era's Chosen Ones may use these Holy Swords to draw out the weapons left behind by the Ancient Gods, we have to investigate. I'll handle this matter, but I hope you can help with a divination."
"Of course, but please do not place too much hope in it. Even I can't easily divine a Sage Level Relic. That is basically impossible."
So before dinner, Miss Belinder performed a proper Divination Ritual in the basement. Just as she had expected, it produced no results. This was already quite impressive, considering she had not suffered any backlash from divining a relic.
Of course, although the divination of the relic yielded nothing, she at least used the Vampire Beast's remains provided by Shade to determine where it had been hiding recently.
Because the divination had been so precise, and because Shade did not want to delay, he went home to feed the cat, visited the Seer Association to invite Luvia to his house that night, and then returned to Moon Bay for a not particularly pleasant sewer adventure with the witch and the maids.
In short, they
