Shade took the initiative to tell Iluna about the "experiment" they had just been conducting. After hearing about the new properties of the Thaumaturgy Toy Making, the eighteen-year-old girl was quite curious as well and was willing to give it a try.
The curtain from before was raised high again, then dropped over Iluna as she sat in the chair. As Shade cast the spell, the Iluna-shaped "bulge" wrapped in the curtain rapidly deflated, until the curtain looked as though it had simply been draped over the chair.
When he removed the curtain, all that remained on the chair was a finger-sized ceramic toy.
Shade shooed away the curious cat that had approached, then picked up the toy. It depicted Iluna with a short, stubby body, its face and clothing painted in oils.
"Seemed like it worked."
Fiona watched curiously beside Shade. Once he restored Iluna, Miss Feliana asked:
"Miss Bayes, what did that feel like just now? Could you observe the outside world while transformed?"
Still somewhat dazed, Iluna immediately shook her head:
"It felt like I fell asleep all at once. I can remember some blurry images, but they were even vaguer than a dream. I could feel time passing, but it passed very slowly. It was an awful feeling. If Shade keeps someone transformed for too long in the future, he might drive them mad."
"But Little Mia seems to be fine every time she transforms. So can you restore yourself voluntarily while transformed?"
Shade asked again, and Iluna shook her head once more:
"It felt like curling up in my warm bed on a rainy night. I was clearly awake, but I couldn't sit up."
Shade looked at the cat in his arms. Little Mia had returned to normal from toy form by herself several times.
