Flora's performance at the Golden Music Hall tonight had, as expected, been arranged as the second-to-last finale—the final and most important closing act would surely be a large orchestra performance, not something given to an individual performer.
Therefore, when Shade entered the music hall from the plaza, Flora was still waiting backstage. Although Shade had said he wanted to return to the ship and rest, he first went backstage to visit her.
However, when Shade entered the backstage corridor using the pass the witch had given him in advance, Flora happened to be chatting with several friends from the same profession. She therefore gestured for Miss Bell to take Shade to her dressing room first.
When the gray-black-haired witch finally managed to "send off" her friends and entered the dressing room, she discovered that Shade was not waiting for her in boredom. Instead, he was holding a card, smiling as he said something to her apprentice.
"Although it still needs to be appraised, I'd bet this is absolutely genuine."
