Shade and Miss Danist did not remain in the suburbs for long. Once they had confirmed the tree's current condition, they prepared to return:

She somewhat disapproved of Shade getting entangled in this again, but Shade felt that he had to go:

Both had their own rooms aboard the ship, and naturally their own personal belongings. As for the Academy team that had come to support the Woodland War, they would also withdraw gradually over the next two days. The cleanup after the Woodland War belonged entirely to the Five Gods Church.
