The Academy had already warned them that the Fate Weaver's corpse was extremely unusual and would not be affected by most transformation abilities. But Shade and the Doctor, unwilling to give up and convinced that they were rather special themselves, still tried their own methods. They then confirmed that neither Shade's Toy Making could turn it into a toy for transport, nor could the Doctor's thaumaturgy developed from demonic power transform it into a black cube to carry away.

Luvia believed that this was because the Fate Weaver Silk within this monster, which had been created based on its user's characteristics, was responsible.

Fortunately, the Academy had provided a special potion in advance. Priest Augustus drove the carriage to the outside of the fence on the eastern side of Regent Park. Shade and the Doctor carried the spider while the two ladies used illusions to conceal them.
