The spider's mouthparts opened, spraying crimson spider silk at Shade. But the silk was immediately blocked by a silver Small Shield bearing a Double-Headed Eagle Emblem, urgently summoned by Dorothy. The shield vanished at once, and Miss Writer saw through the trick:
"This kind of 'Fate Weaver' is similar to a Phase Spider. If its silk touches you, you'll be randomly teleported!"
Luvia had seen through it as well:
"The two spiders are in a symbiotic state. We have to kill them both at once with a single strike. If only one dies, neither of them can truly die!"
"Doctor, Detective, gather them in one place in five seconds!"
As Priest Augustus spoke, he retreated from the battlefield. The two spiders spat silk at him simultaneously, but Dorothy merely pointed. The space around the silk twisted, causing the strands to entangle one another before vanishing.
"Adele's Time Stop!"
Shade pointed at the enemy before him as well, but the crystalline traces of light had only just emerged when the spider immediately broke free from the restraints of Time Stop.
"Such high Time Resistance?"
The spider's legs struck the ground as it rapidly retreated. At the same time, two Great Sin Chains shot from Shade's sleeve. The blood-red spider suddenly leaped, trying to evade them, but Luvia at the outermost edge of the battlefield seized the opportunity:
"Word Spirit: Spider Weakness!"
The half-spider that had leaped into the air crashed to the ground, then was tightly bound by the two Great Sin Chains. Though its Time Resistance was high enough, it did not have much resistance against the power of "sin."
Behind Shade, Doctor Schneider faced the other half of the blood-red spider. After Luvia's Word Spirit took effect, he tacitly used a binding spell as well.
