By Friday, Dorothy was still making breakfast early in the morning when Shade headed to Saint Byron's.
On one hand, he wanted to see whether Daniste had any solution for the Rune Lock. If there really was another way, he would not have to use up Snake Fang. On the other, he was visiting Emilia on behalf of Little Liana and Ellie. The little elf had not been to the island for more than half a week.
Administrator Miss was indeed in the library. She had already reviewed the information on the Rune Lock, but just as the Witches had said, deciphering it would take time, and even if they did decipher it, it might not necessarily work.
As for Emilia, Daniste had seen her over the past few days:
"She is extremely busy now. Many people have come from all over the world to visit her. It is a matter of etiquette. Before the new Elf King is crowned, ties must always be strengthened. "Besides the elves, other races that had dealings with the elves throughout history have also sent representatives to visit. A representative from Dragon Island arrived yesterday and even asked Emilia whether she would be willing to adopt a young dragon and become its godmother."
She smiled as she spoke of it, and Shade laughed as well.
"Emilia did not agree, did she?"
"Of course not. I was not there at the time, but the principal who was present said Emilia seemed terrified. She is still young and probably never imagined she would become a 'mother.' Still, her response was quite graceful. She said she had already forged deep friendships
