"I'd like to exchange for a Snake Eye."
As the half-hour was about to end, Mr. Mortis called the others over and announced this. It was the result of discussions with the Masked Prophets who had come with him:
"This opportunity will be difficult to encounter again if we miss it. The great snake lurking here will not easily allow us to come back. Neither the God Summoner nor the Association seems to have had contact with Snake Eyes, so I may as well exchange for one and test its effects.
"After seeing the information, I will share it with you all. Consider this the Clown Troupe's contribution to this island."
Since the Clowns were volunteering to do this, no one else objected. As the holy emblem's light shone onto Mr. Mortis's Serpent's Shedding, a bright yellow Snake Eye Gem appeared on the offering table beneath it.
It looked very similar to the gem given by the Black Serpent of Destruction, but it was definitely not the same item. Mr. Mortis passed it around for the others to examine, and the Prophets of the Association believed this gem might be inserted into an eye as a Magic Eye.
The Joker then asked Shade:
"God Summoner, among the remaining four stories, which one would you like clues about?"
Fate's Great Overture was already being prepared, so Shade did not need clues about it.
As for the remaining three stories—
"Then please take a look at the mural of Beggar and Dice and see what clues it hides."
Shade said this because Love and the Frozen Flower most likely involved desire, while President Lenormand had mentioned yesterday that the matter of Gambling Cards was related to Founding. This way, only the story of Beggar and Dice currently had no clues at all.
