When everyone at the dining table finally began discussing the origins of "Starfall Bay," the Ship Girl offered some insight:

"I actually have a peculiar awareness of the ocean. Wherever a ship travels, I can directly sense the terrain beneath the sea, the surrounding marine communities, and even the salinity or pollution level of the water."

Since there were not many people dining, the table was round, and Illustrious Miss sat beside Shade.

"Ever since entering Starfall Bay, I've had a peculiar feeling. This stretch of sea contains a certain degree of stellar power. On some nights, you must have seen tiny points of light appearing on the sea surface, right?"

On the night of the Ten Thousand Spirits Festival, Luvia had found Pilgrim's Path after seeing a similar light.

"That is actually a manifestation of the stars' power. But it is very faint and does not affect the ecosystem, so I never brought it up."

"Could a star really have fallen here?"

Megan asked. At the very least, none of the Council's records had mentioned such a thing.

"I once asked Daniste about the origin of this bay's name, but Saint Byron's has never conducted any dedicated research on it. In that case, we can only ask a professional."

Sivie curiously asked him:

"Are you going to seek out that secret organization that told you what the symbol of destruction meant again?"

Shade shook his head.

"No. For matters concerning the ocean, naturally I should ask people who understand the ocean. I actually don't want to do this, but I happen to know how to contact them in the City of Time Wheels. Is this Destiny too?"

After lunch, Shade wrote to the owner of the Drowned Ghost Tavern, asking in the letter about his knowledge of "Starfall Bay."
