Shade did not need to think to know how much of a headache this would give the Grand Duke of Laggson. He only heard of it after helping deal with the two "Before the Doomsday" landscapes that had appeared on the island that afternoon, but he had no good solution for it at the moment.
Dealing with "Before the Doomsday" required spatial power. Dorothy had come to help this time, while Ellie and Little Liana served as mounts.
Seeing that the Little Unicorns did not seem to have had enough fun yet, Shade brought them back to the ship. When he sat down with Dorothy in the banquet hall, the Little Unicorns still followed behind him, while the cat lay sprawled atop Ellie's head.
"Shade, what method have you prepared to fight Before the Doomsday? Can we only rely on the Chosen of Fate?"
Dorothy asked the question again.
"The Chosen of Fate may be powerless against it as well, but I do have a method."
He thought of his encounter in Monday's fog with that barefoot, brown-skinned lady. She had reminded him how to deal with those encroaching landscapes:
