Shade was not surprised that the [Blood Spirit School] knew about the "Life Fire Seed." Back in Year 1853, when he had first arrived in this world, he had heard that the [Blood Spirit School] had found the "Birthing Room of Creation" on the New Continent. They had likely gained a great deal over the past two years.
However, even such a vigorous "Twisted Life Fire Seed," obtained from an aberration, could not exist independently of its host.
To prevent it from dispersing and causing other trouble, Shade first apologetically told his two companions that he needed to use a secret technique to handle it. Only after they had temporarily stepped aside did he take out the Fire Seed Source with his left hand. After activating it simply, the fire seed resting on his raised right hand turned into a slender stream of light and entered the burning eye.
Once he had dealt with those Twisted Life Fire Seeds, Shade called his companions back and released the Time Stop on the monster. Having lost its immense life force, the "Life Aberration" lost the power to sustain its form the moment Shade finished casting, collapsing into a puddle of pale flesh.
Before that flesh could melt into the sewage beneath the trio's feet, Mr. Finch cast another spell to make it float in the air for easier collection. He clearly intended to thoroughly analyze what it was after returning.
Although he, like Shade and Mr. Bernhardt, could tell that it was truly nothing more than a mass of dissolved human tissue, he wanted to investigate what permanent changes the "Twisted Life Fire Seed" would cause in normal flesh. If they could find an answer to that question, it might greatly aid the investigation to come.
