This natural cave was not particularly large. Its interior was filled with torches and Everlasting Candles. It was generally divided into upper and lower sections, with the entrance on the upper level and the lower level five meters deeper. The Bloodkin had renovated it quite well, even setting aside separate storage, prayer, and rest areas.
There were not many Bloodkin at this stronghold today. When Mr. Bernhardt heard that Shade had arrived, he even came out to greet him at the entrance.
Shade looked at the moss on the ground and the conference table in the center of the lower level, which had obviously just been moved in:
"You originally lived in a mansion in the Lower District, then scattered to live in the Outer City District. Why have you now run off into the mountains and forests?"
He teased with a smile, and Mr. Bernhardt shook his head:

Although today's situation had been dangerous, it was not entirely unexpected.
A beam of sunlight shone directly through the cave ceiling onto the conference table below. Thus, despite the strong earthy smell, the place did not feel especially stifling or oppressive. Mr. Bernhardt clearly intended to use this as a long-term stronghold. After all, if they moved any farther out, they would leave the Arcadia Region entirely.
