"The Minor Unicorn Protection Act? Of course there's no such law. Unicorns are very powerful. They don't need humans making laws to protect them. What are you worried about? No, she just wants to play with you, that's all. You don't have to worry about tiring her out."

Since Little Liana had gone to school, Emilia rode on the back of another Little Unicorn, flying low beside Shade. Ellie had returned to her unicorn form and followed them along with the other Little Unicorns.

Although Emilia's answer reassured Shade a little, he still had "her" remind him that, in the future, he absolutely must not ride unfamiliar Little Unicorns.

The Central Courtyard was the central area of the enormous Saint Byron's Academy Castle. From here, one could reach the eastern, western, southern, and northern sections of the academy, so even on a Monday morning, quite a few people appeared here.

The courtyard was built in the style of a garden, with flowerbeds clustered around narrow paths that connected to the other parts of the academy. Because the weather was good today, a dwarf couple sat on a bench beside a flowerbed on a date, an Elf Miss who loved painting was sketching the Academy Castle, and in the pavilion at the southeastern corner of the courtyard, students from the Academy Drama Club had gathered to discuss the script for their next performance.

The ancient "Dragon Blood Tree" stood at the very center of the courtyard. This tree was one of the more precious assets in the academy, so it was surrounded by a low stone fence that reached knee height. Small flowers were planted inside the fence, and Red Bronze rune chains connected the stone posts to one another, though they were only decorative and had no practical function.
