It was already quite late. Shade did not remain at Fragrant Residence any longer. After bidding Wei Ge and Angelina farewell, he took Flora home.
Because it was Iluna's birthday, 6 Saint Derain Square was especially lively tonight. Although Luvia had once again set off for Moon Bay, Dorothy, Galina, Daniste, Emilia, Iluna, Ellie, Winnie, and Tifa were all still there.
Naturally, the girls and ladies had not gone to sleep when Shade and Flora returned, though Winnie had already arranged rooms for everyone. The three younger girls would be sharing the Master Bedroom in the neighboring Room Two tonight, and Winnie and Tifa had made their beds.
Dorothy, Galina, and Daniste had also been assigned rooms. Of course, they would most likely not be sleeping in them tonight.
Flora paid no attention to anything else and quickly resumed painting the Dragon Egg. Little Mia had spent the past few days with the egg, but the cat seemed unwilling to be painted, so after Flora set up her easel, it ran away.
But it soon came running back and lay atop the egg, refusing to leave no matter what. The cat had heard Shade mention that it would be getting a bath soon, and Little Mia disliked bathing very much.
Since they had arrived rather late tonight, Flora was still painting when everyone gradually returned to rest after ten o'clock. Daniste, dressed in pajamas, wanted to persuade Flora to go home for the night and return tomorrow evening, but the Artist Miss refused without even looking back from her canvas:
"I was invited to a banquet tomorrow evening as well, so I probably won't have time to come paint this again. I need to seize the inspiration I found today. Daniste, don't worry about me. You should all go rest.
