Little Mia stayed home to watch the house. At around eight thirty, Shade set out directly for the Tobesk Branch of the Seer Association in the city center.

The Tobesk City Seer Association was an important branch of the Seer Association across the entire continent. Aside from the headquarters in Laine City, capital of the Laggson Duchy in the central Kassenric United Kingdom in the south, the Tobesk City Association was the most important institution in the entire organization and managed all the other branches located in the Northern Kingdom.

It stood on Silver Cross Avenue in Tobesk City alongside Yodel Palace. Together with the towering building complex in the city center, it formed the busiest streetscape of Tobesk City, the "Steam Capital" of Delarion in the mist-shrouded Northern Kingdom.

Silver Cross Avenue was crowded with pedestrians and carriages. Though it was still early, newspaper boys, coachmen, nobles, merchants, clerks, police officers, and all kinds of passersby filled the street, and the association was already open.

Standing on the street in the early morning, avoiding the crowds in the hazy morning fog, Shade looked up at the three-story building housing the association. Its walls had recently been repainted, while steam pipes and gas pipes crawled across its exterior.

Though it was only eight thirty, people were still constantly entering and leaving through the association's doors. Most of them were well dressed; no one would doubt it if this place were called a club for nobles.

Therefore, Shade deliberately straightened his clothes before walking into the association. Fortunately, no one would bar a guest from entering because of how they were dressed.

Upon entering the lobby, he looked up and saw a ring of Rhodes Cards oil paintings hanging on the walls, alternating with brass Gas Lamps. One of the paintings
