Leisha said indifferently. Hearing her elder sister say that, Angelina, standing nearby, smiled as well.

"Mr. Hamilton, Sister Leisha is very rich. Not long ago, she spent quite a sum just to buy a ruby necklace—"

She knowingly shut her mouth.

Afterward, Shade went to brush his teeth and wash up. Leisha then asked what he thought of the story before handing him several books she had brought for him to read.

The Sleeping Princess corresponded to a great many Spirit Runes. Ring Arcanists skilled in Enlightenment Elements, like Leisha and Dorothy, could obtain various Spirit Runes from it. Leisha, however, had to ensure that Shade obtained Slumber.

The hour-long lesson took place in the study. The maids and Angelina were ordinary people and could not listen to such things. So Angelina wandered around Shade's home, eventually taking the copy of The Queen and Her Lovers from beside his bed and reading it on the sofa.

When Leisha and Shade emerged from the study together and saw what her younger sister was reading, she immediately scolded her.

"Angelina, what are you reading?"

Shade rarely saw Leisha get angry, and Angelina was clearly terrified of her elder sister as well. She stood before the sofa with her head lowered and hands behind her back, not daring to speak.

"And Shade, why do you have this kind of book?"

After scolding her younger sister, Leisha turned to Shade. Though The Queen and Her Lovers was legally published, it was notorious for being one of those legal books filled with rather explicit descriptions.

"Well, it's complicated."

Shade tried to explain, but if he really did explain it all, the two princesses would probably still be here for lunch.
