Three Flowers

The uniformed royal guards stood before the stairs leading up to the seats above the South Side Stands. Even amid the surrounding clamor, they seemed wholly unaffected.

In this era where the new age and the Old Era overlapped, the royal guards' equipment was quite interesting. They naturally carried firearms, but each of them also wore heavy armor, held a long spear, and had a sharp sword hanging at their waist.

Shade had heard that agents from Military Intelligence Section Six sometimes had to temporarily serve as royal guards. He dearly hoped he would never be assigned such a task. That equipment looked unbearably heavy.

Shade approached with the cat. After the loyal guards questioned him about his identity and background, one of them walked upward, stopping three rows below the noblewomen to inform a maid of the visitor's identity.

By then, a small number of people had noticed Shade's arrival. Before that guard returned, Queen Diana, Miss Galina, and Tifa behind Miss Galina had all shifted their gazes from the racetrack to Shade.

Queen Diana, wearing a silver openwork crown inlaid with rubies, held a feather fan pieced together from colorful feathers today. She raised it before her mouth, tilted her head, and whispered something to Miss Galina, making the nearby women all laugh.

Naturally, Shade was granted permission to continue upward. He adjusted his clothes and soon arrived at the upper seats beneath the sunshade.

Miss Galina wanted to rise and speak with Shade somewhere else, but the Queen, who was clearly over forty yet still seemed full of youthful vitality, stopped her:

"Let the knight sit here."

She ordered.

Thus, Shade, who had merely wanted to broaden his horizons and ask Sun about an item, somehow ended up sitting to Miss Galina's right.
