Only after dinner did Shade ask about the Sun Power items.
Miss Galina had also collected two. Her opinion was much the same as Tower Keeper Mr. Edmund's: since they did not know which item met the requirements, they might as well find several more.
The witch gave Shade a heat-generating pebble and a section of a broken sword blade. The former had an unusually smooth surface and would steadily grow warmer in his palm until it reached nearly fifty degrees. Though the latter bore no rust at all, it did not seem to possess any other special qualities. Miss Galina believed that section of blade might be a remnant of a Fourth Epoch Sun Knight's sword.
Shade did not return home that night. Instead, he was invited to stay at the manor, where he discussed the current situation in Middhir Fort City with the witch in detail. Later, Mr. Bernhardt met Grandma Cassandra and, through her connections, bought a relic from Miss Galina at a high price.
That relic was even connected to Shade. It was the Document Level Relic Vampire's Fang, the relic he had obtained at the end of his adventure in the underground ruins of Tobesk after defeating the Bloodkin sent by the Blood Spirit School to assist Blood of Mercury. The relic was one of the tokens of Bloodkin heritage and had to be implanted in the mouth to display its properties.
Shade had originally sold that relic, along with the Bloodkin corpse, to Miss Galina for 1,200 pounds. Mr. Bernhardt, who was rather anxious, had spent a full 3,000
