Princess Margaret had never been to Tobesk before. The last time she had visited Dellaireon was when she was sixteen, accompanying the reigning king on an official visit. Thus, the Princess had plenty to talk about that afternoon, which was also related to the fact that Mr. "Sherlock Holmes," who ran a winery on the New Continent, had only just left Tobesk before coming to Kasonlik.
Shade was quite happy to use this opportunity to gauge the Princess's temperament, while Mr. Bernhardt felt that such a private conversation could bring him closer to the royal family. Thus, none of the three had any intention of bringing the conversation to an end.
At around two in the afternoon, the Princess's maid prepared afternoon tea and pastries for them. As for the already opened bottle of red wine, it was put away again. It seemed that the pale blond-haired Princess truly liked the "Blood Brew" Shade had provided.
At about three in the afternoon, Shade was discussing this year's steam pipeline renovation project in the city with Princess Margaret when someone knocked on the door. The maid, who appeared to be a First Ring Arcanist, quietly walked to the door. After opening it and listening to the guards outside say a few words, she returned behind the Princess and said softly:
"It's Earl Sachia."
Her voice was neither too loud nor too soft, just enough for Shade and Mr. Bernhardt to hear. The two tactfully rose to their feet:
"Your Highness, then we shall take our leave first. We wish you a pleasant journey in Tobesk."
"Perhaps you can say that again at the Farewell Party. Viscount Bernhardt, you received an Invitation Letter, didn't you?"
Princess Margaret said to the middle-aged Bloodkin. He nodded slightly, then left the room with Shade.
