Tobesk was destined to be noisy today, but according to the schedule, Princess Margaret Anjou and her party would be received by the king's family. Therefore, Shade had no chance to approach the Princess today.
So, after leaving Tobesk Train Station, Shade did not seek out Miss Galina or search for Miss Sylvia's whereabouts. Instead, he left with the group from Dawn Church and had lunch with Priest Augustus at the church.
That afternoon after lunch, he received his early-winter gift as a core believer. Shade kept the Autumn Tomatoes among the seasonal fruits and vegetables, sharing them with Mia on the road through the Great Fog. The cat seemed quite fond of this vegetable—or fruit.
With some free time at noon, Shade went to the waste disposal center in the western part of the city and asked whether the gemstones could be reimbursed. Then, at the entrance to the center, he stopped a little girl selling flowers and asked whether there was a market nearby that sold fresh vegetables:
"Yes, sir. Turn right at the street corner."
The little girl answered timidly. She did not dare approach Shade, but she still curiously watched the yawning cat Shade was carrying on his shoulders.
"Thank you."
Shade thanked her with a smile. As he was about to leave, he felt someone tugging at his sleeve and realized that the girl had followed him:
"Sir, would you like to buy some flowers?"
Speaking Delarion Language with a Tobesk accent in a childish voice, the girl, her face smudged with gray and her clothes covered in patches, still gathered the courage to stop Shade.
"I'll pass on the flowers. If I buy flowers, I'll have to give them to someone, and that would be a burden for me. But this is for you."
