Ch. 1969The Banquet Begins

Laplace Klein Howard revealed that he intended to escape the doomed world and preserve civilization, then began the banquet as the island rose and a colossal blood-red tree emerged. The red butterflies carrying Grace and Helen flew toward the inn, leaving Qi Na behind as the island’s transformation unfolded.

  • Iluna and Shade watched the Church and other Ring Arcanists battle monsters as they tried to land on the island.
  • Howard explained that he had seen a nonexistent segment of Spacetime and chose to leave the doomed world with civilization’s last kindling rather than trust others to avert its destruction.
  • Howard told Shade and Iluna to let the banquet begin, and a violent upheaval lifted the banquet hall fragment into the rainy sky.
  • The Edwards Apotheosis Art activated, causing crimson roots to glow across the island and a gigantic blood-red tree to grow from beneath Edwards Old House.
  • Grace and Helen said farewell to Qi Na, then flew as red butterflies toward the inn.

Ch. 1970Tree Crown Melee (Alliance Master Bonus Chapter)

Shade and Iluna confronted Laplace Howard after he began the Edwards Apotheosis Art, while the Edwards Family erupted into a battle across the floating banquet hall. The fight continued above the Blood-Colored Giant Tree, where Shade’s Red Dragon Force struck Laplace hard enough to surprise him.

  • Laplace Howard thanked Shade and Iluna for helping complete the ritual’s final node, but refused Shade’s demand to abandon the Edwards Apotheosis Art.
  • Megan, Nadia Furen, and Mr. Green broke free and attacked the blood-red branches as members of the Edwards Family fought one another.
  • Shade and Iluna charged Laplace, who blocked their attacks and battled them inside the barrier enclosing the floating banquet hall.
  • Iluna used the Dark Gold Scales to weaken their hostile opponents, while Shade and Iluna continued attacking Laplace with their combined powers.
  • Shade met Laplace’s spatial punch with Red Dragon Force and sent him stumbling back with a mangled fist.

Ch. 1971Sun and Moon Strike

Shade and Iluna defeated the Diviner’s giant-tree form with a combined Sun-Moon Thaumaturgy, while the Edwardz Family’s other battles also turned in their favor. The Diviner’s main body remained unaccounted for, and Nicholas Green reunited tearfully with his mother.

  • Shade and Iluna destroyed the Diviner’s first body, but they could not find his main body.
  • The Diviner emerged as a giant formed from the Blood-Colored Giant Tree’s canopy and attacked the wreckage, but Shade and Iluna blasted through his face with their combined Sun-Moon Thaumaturgy.
  • Megan restrained Sloth Edwards, the six-generation twins defeated the Corpse Ghoul brothers, and Nadia Furen and the Follen Brothers overcame Gluttony Edwards.
  • Old Mr. Green defeated the Demon Man and helped defeat Jarvis Edwardz, then rushed to embrace his mother.
  • Nicholas Green cried to his mother that his life had been hard since she left.

Ch. 1972Blood-Colored Fruit

As the Edwards Family's Apotheosis Art began, the Blood-Colored Giant Tree produced a vast fruit containing the hidden Diviner Laplace Klein Howard. Shade and Iluna tried to stop his birth, but the fruit turned aside their attacks and unleashed an army of undead, forcing their allies into the fight.

  • Megan and the Edwards Family felt the Unifier's power awaken as the tree stopped growing, and Megan replaced her black forehead symbol with her golden holy emblem.
  • Miss Danist led the Witches toward the tree, while Grace and Helen asked Luvia to accompany them; Dorothy and Leisha stayed behind.
  • The tree's accumulated blood-red power formed a giant fruit, and Laplace Klein Howard became visible inside as the island's people chanted.
  • Iluna and the others attacked the fruit, but it absorbed or redirected their blows, so Shade grabbed Iluna and prepared to leap toward it.
  • The Soul Story Book emerged from the fruit and released a flood of undead; Priest Augustus opened a rift to True Death while Durut Giles rushed toward Lust.

Ch. 1973"Edwardz"

Priest Augustus drew the controlled souls away while Shade struck a bargain with Laplace Klein Howard to spare four descendants in exchange for not summoning divine power. As Laplace emerged as “Edwardz,” the Chosen One of the Earth engaged his stronger form, but Edwardz attacked everyone left on the ruins and pierced them with blood spikes.

  • Priest Augustus rang the skull’s bell, drawing the souls and the Soul Story Book away from the ruins, but Doctor Schneider could not get the Green siblings through the barrier.
  • Shade agreed not to call upon the gods if Laplace Klein Howard spared Soren Green, Helena Green, Megan Edwards, and Audrey Edwards, and the Green siblings escaped with Doctor Schneider.
  • Twenty-one blood-robed copies of Laplace appeared as the fruit swelled, and twenty-one Earth Guardians fought them while Mr. Lathers confronted the ripening fruit.
  • The fruit burst, and Laplace’s former self separated from the weak incarnation calling itself “Edwardz,” who said he had become the island.
  • “Edwardz” knocked Shade, Iluna, and Megan from the ruins, then pierced everyone still there with blood spikes.

Ch. 1974Departure and the Soul That Chose Sacrifice

The Edwards Apotheosis Art consumed the Edwards family, but Lust chose to sacrifice herself to save Durut Giles, whose soul fused with hers long enough to halt the ritual. Shade confronted the Diviner as the Church’s main forces reached Green Lake Island, setting the stage for the final battle atop the giant tree.

  • The crimson spikes consumed the Edwards family, while Lust survived their attack because Durut Giles embraced her and was pierced in her place.
  • Lust and Durut’s souls fused, stopping the ritual’s absorption; Lust rejected her father’s offer to spare Durut and chose eternal death, saving him.
  • Shade asked the Diviner whether Lust’s death had disrupted the ritual, and the Diviner said the Edwards Apotheosis Art could continue without her.
  • The Diviner warned Shade and Iluna that he could complete the ritual before midnight, while Shade questioned his choice to abandon the Material World over the coming Doomsday.
  • The Church’s main force arrived on Green Lake Island, and its ships fought off waves of monsters as allied forces gathered for the final battle.

Ch. 1975Red Butterflies

As darkness swallowed the island and the red light atop the giant tree spread, Luvia and the Red Butterfly Young Ladies prepared to help Shade while Leisha and Dorothy were drawn toward the ritual beneath the tree. Angelina and Little Mia stopped them from merging, and the sisters reached the Sixth Ring as they turned away.

  • Red trees spread across the island as Edwardz’s light atop the giant tree overwhelmed the stars and plunged the land into darkness.
  • Luvia, Grace, and Helen set out to help contain a familiar Angel Level Relic, while Sister Devlin and Miss Danist followed separate paths into the darkness.
  • At Green Lake Inn, the red light drew Leisha and Dorothy toward one another, and they vanished with Angelina and Little Mia into the study beneath the giant tree.
  • Leisha and Dorothy approached the glowing ritual’s golden cube as their Destiny Rings began to merge, but Little Mia’s cry helped them regain their senses.
  • Despite the impulse to unite, Leisha and Dorothy remembered their promise to Shade, turned away from the ritual, and advanced from the Fifth Ring to the Sixth Ring.

Ch. 1976A Mature Young Lady

Leisha, Dorothy, and Angelina escaped the ritual’s influence and met Miss Danist, while Shade and Iluna confronted the final stage of the Edwards Apotheosis Art on the island. As the blood-red light neared its transformation into a separate space, Shade prepared Iluna for an unexplained next step.

  • Leisha and Dorothy resisted the ritual’s urge to fuse, gained Enlightenment—Endurance and Miracle—Fusion, and reunited with Angelina.
  • Miss Danist found Leisha, Dorothy, Angelina, and Little Mia; she explained that the ritual could no longer be stopped by destroying its core and agreed to take them toward the Edwards Old House.
  • Leisha chose to follow Grace and Helen’s red butterfly toward the surface, intending to stay near Shade and help him.
  • Shade comforted Durut Giles over Lust Edwardz’s disappearance, while Iluna urged Megan to trust Shade and revealed that she understood the Edwards Apotheosis Art.
  • Shade asked Megan, Audrey, Durut Giles, and Iluna about the world’s farthest distance, then placed a pink crystalline spike in Iluna’s hand and asked her to wait as the red light transformed the island.

Ch. 1977Sixth Ring to Seventh Ring

Shade began advancing from the Sixth Ring to the Seventh Ring atop the bloody tree on Another Island, and his golden light overwhelmed the diviner’s red radiance. As the four Spirit Runes merged with him, Megan and Audrey’s entwined souls moved closer to completing their Miracle.

  • Shade summoned his Destiny Ring, and its bells spread across the island, calming the waves, monsters, and storm while restoring stability to the space.
  • Shade rose toward the diviner and began his advancement, declaring that advancing did not break his promise not to call upon the power of gods.
  • Iluna recognized that Shade was advancing from the Sixth Ring to the Seventh Ring, while Megan and Audrey watched together as their shared Miracle approached its final step.
  • The four Spirit Runes separated from Shade’s ring and merged with him alongside the Mermaid, the First Drowned One, the Clock Tower Lovers, and Long-Haired Luvia.
  • Edwardz sent a sword of bloody radiance toward Shade, but the golden light melted it as the four Spirit Runes contracted around him.

Ch. 1978Mystic Lock "City of the End"

Shade’s attempt to infuse Whisper—Termination with divinity nearly manifested a doomsday city, but he stopped it and brought forth Water of Wisdom instead. His Mystic Lock joined with Edwardz’s Green Island, leaving both men to unleash Edwardz Apotheosis Art.

  • Shade infused Whisper—Termination with divinity, causing yellow sand and the ruined City of the End to appear across Green Island.
  • Shade halted the city’s formation before it could contaminate the present, then summoned Night Watchman as he faced Edwardz.
  • Shade’s Mystic Lock, Water of Wisdom, lifted Lake Heart Island beneath the Silver Moon as snow fell across the island.
  • Edwardz revealed Mystic Lock—Green Island, and it collided with Shade’s Mystic Lock, joining the two powers.
  • Shade and Edwardz both declared Edwardz Apotheosis Art as their Mystic Locks clashed.

Ch. 1979Mizzle Tower Lovers

Shade used the Edwards Apotheosis Art to challenge “Edwardz,” who destroyed Shade’s Mystic Lock, but Iluna’s sacrifice transformed Green Island and the Fairy Tale Kingdom into a new world. Iluna vanished beneath the Moon as Shade became the Moon and she rose as the Sun, while Angelina recognized the power of her knight.

  • “Edwardz” completed his transformation into Green Island’s master and attacked Shade with the island’s power.
  • Shade learned Flesh Fusion, engraved the Enlightenment-Flesh Spirit Rune, and sublimated Active Mud into a thaumaturgy.
  • “Edwardz” shattered Shade’s floating-island Mystic Lock, and Shade asked Iluna whether he was worthy of her heart before wishing her a happy birthday.
  • Iluna pressed God of Love’s Thorn into her chest, and Green Island and the Fairy Tale Kingdom began to merge as scenes from fairy tales appeared across the island.
  • Iluna turned into a crystal statue at the clock tower and shattered, vanishing as a ray of sunlight rose to meet Shade’s Moon.
  • Angelina watched the Sun and Moon intertwine and resolved that this was her knight’s power.

Ch. 1980Poems Card and Transcending Spacetime

Shade fused with Iluna and defeated the diviner’s overwhelming attack, but Edwards refused to surrender and used the Poems Card to summon a Hero from a spacetime believed not to exist. A fragmentary Echo answered, leaving an impossible arrival at the chapter’s end.

  • Shade and Iluna completed the Mystic Lock Clock Tower Lovers, combining their powers and appearing together as Shade.
  • Shade’s gold-and-silver attack swallowed Edwards’s blood-red light and left the diviner gravely wounded; Iluna was promoted to the Eighth Ring after touching Shade’s divine soul.
  • Edwards refused Shade’s offer to surrender, insisting he had to test his chosen path to preserve civilization’s future.
  • Edwards summoned Envy Edwards from a black coffin and drove the Angel Level Relic Poems Card into his chest.
  • Edwards used Poems Card and his out-of-control power from transcending spacetime to summon a Hero from the hidden past, and a fragmentary Echo answered.

Ch. 1981The Rule-Breaking Candidate and the Final Method

Shade chose to trust the women gathered at the old house with his plan to stop the spatial collapse, while Edwardz’s forbidden summoning shattered the balance of space. The chapter ended as Luvia caught Shade’s red crystalline thorn and raised it toward Dorothy, Leisha, Helen, and Grace.

  • Edwardz absorbed the summoned shadow of a purer-blooded family member, healed his injuries, and unleashed a vortex that began tearing apart space above the island and Green Lake Central Island.
  • Iluna explained that Edwardz had broken the rules and lost his status as a Space Chosen One, and warned Shade that the spatial collapse would soon reach the Material World.
  • Shade used the Philosopher’s Stone to create a red crystalline spike and decided to trust the women gathered at the old house rather than sacrifice himself or rely on Iluna’s gift.
  • Dorothy, Leisha, Helen, and Grace said they had seen their Destiny and understood Shade’s decision, while Ring Arcanists gathered to confront Edwardz and his time-splitting doubles.
  • Shade flew toward Edwardz and sent the red spike to Luvia, who raised it toward the four women as Megan realized what Shade intended.

Ch. 1982Butterfly

The six sisters fused with Shade as a giant Red Butterfly, granting him power to repel and bind “Edwardz” while stabilizing the Mystic Lock. With the vortex of Destiny growing stronger, Shade prepared the items needed to seal the island.

  • Megan, Audrey, Leisha, Grace, Dorothy, and Helen joined hands and let Luvia pierce them with the God of Love’s Thorn, transforming them into a giant Red Butterfly.
  • The Red Butterfly blocked “Edwardz’s” attack, merged with Shade, and gave him the sisters’ souls and powers, stabilizing the Mystic Lock.
  • Shade used the butterfly swarm to redirect “Edwardz’s” attacks, calm distortions of space, and bind him and the Blood-Colored Giant Tree with Great Sin Chains.
  • “Edwardz” admitted that his plan to summon his former self had failed and offered to reveal what he knew if Shade defeated him.
  • Shade prepared to stabilize space and seal the island, taking out Helen and Grace’s crystal orb, Leisha and Dorothy’s cracked relic monocle, and the Gillar Stone string.

Ch. 1983Chosen One of Space

Shade attempted the Chosen One Ritual while united with the Red Butterflies, but the ritual separated him, Megan, and Audrey and chose the girl formed from Dorothy, Leisha, and the Red Butterflies as the Space Chosen One. With space collapsing beyond the island, Shade flew into the sky to help her repair it.

  • Shade invoked Primal Rift and began the Chosen One Ritual, hoping his presence in the united whole would prevent anyone from becoming a Chosen One.
  • The ritual forcibly separated Shade, Megan, and Audrey, but continued with Dorothy and Leisha assisting, and the girl at its center became the Space Chosen One.
  • The new Chosen One took hold of a Dark Gold cube as spatial distortions across the island began to heal, while a black vortex continued to threaten the area.
  • Edwardz told Shade that the collapse had spread to the Green Lake Region and that the new Chosen One needed his help.
  • Shade drank from the pink Perfume Bottle, received Iluna’s acknowledgment, and flew upward, hurling two bolts of Silver White Thunder in different directions.

Ch. 1984"Trinity"

Shade and Iluna ended the crisis at Green Island by stabilizing space and freeing the Edwardz family souls, while Laplace escaped after restoring several descendants. Shade then began cleansing Envy Edwards’s spacetime curse, learning that it would cost a Youthful Immortality Leaf and prevent him from using normal Time Keys for a month.

  • Shade, Iluna, and Butterfly Wings Girl entered a Trinity state, and Shade struck the black vortex to stabilize space and close the rifts.
  • Shade and Iluna returned to the wreckage, where Shade used the Angel Feather to separate the Edwardz family souls from Edwardz.
  • Laplace Klein Howard offered to help, and Shade released him; Laplace restored seven living descendants before escaping through his Alchemical Playing Cards.
  • Shade and Iluna left Envy Edwards bound while the other Edwardz family members evacuated the area.
  • Shade pressed a Youthful Immortality Leaf to Envy Edwards’s forehead, and the Father of Infinite Tree warned that cleansing the spacetime curse would consume the leaf and bar normal Time Key use for a month.

Ch. 1985Spacetime Protection

Shade freed Envy Edwards from the curse with the Youthful Immortality Leaf, then went with Sister Devlin through a fire door into the sealed realm of the Divided First Fire. There, Laplace Klein Howard offered to let the dangerous Door in a Bottle be burned as kindling for the First Fire.

  • Shade used the Youthful Immortality Leaf to purify Envy Edwards, and Sloth Edwards embraced his restored son.
  • Sloth Edwards and the other Edwards family members left after he asked Shade to visit the old house; Shade then set out to confront the seer.
  • Shade asked the witches to check on the Earth Guardian and their allies, and Sister Devlin guided him through a fire door beneath the lighthouse.
  • Shade and Sister Devlin crossed the realm of the Divided First Fire, where Shade absorbed the flames to replenish his spirit.
  • Laplace Klein Howard showed Shade the Door in a Bottle and pushed the relic into his chest, asking to have it burned by the Primordial Fire.

Ch. 1986Ashes of the Flame Holder

Shade and Sister Devlin confronted Laplace Klein Howard after he contained the Door in a Bottle within his body. Shade fused with Sister Devlin and took on a towering flame-wreathed form, but Laplace survived Shade’s attacks and retreated behind the door formed from his Destiny Ring.

  • Laplace Klein Howard absorbed the Door in a Bottle into his body and challenged Shade and Sister Devlin to defeat him.
  • Shade realized Laplace had intended to trap Maze Demon-Yaru as well, while Sister Devlin told Shade that they were meant to fight as one.
  • Shade used Mystic Lock—Clock Tower Lovers, and Sister Devlin turned to Ashes after driving God of Love's Thorn into her chest.
  • Shade fused with Sister Devlin and transformed into a towering knight, wielding the Ashes Greatsword amid the sea of flames.
  • Shade battered Laplace's brass door shield and struck him down, but another Laplace emerged from the door and then withdrew behind it.

Ch. 1987Those Who Save the World

Shade learned that civilizations, cultists, and the Four Elements had all been preparing to preserve the world from Doomsday. After defeating the sealed evil being, he found the Ancient God statue at the heart of the flames and used the Time Key and Tree’s Kiss to begin sealing the island.

  • The diviner revealed that Rhodes Cards, cult rituals, and ancient groups were parts of efforts to find a way for civilization to survive Doomsday.
  • Laplace Klein Howard explained that Miracle, Blasphemy, Enlightenment, and Whisper corresponded to the group’s four members: the Angel, the Demon, the civilization’s Saviour, and Luvia.
  • Shade smashed through the brass door and knocked the Door in a Bottle out of Laplace Klein Howard, stripping the Ancient Evil Being of its ability to resist.
  • Shade entered the fire’s central clearing and found an Old God statue beside a lantern identical to the one from Sin Mansion; Sister Devlin removed the lantern, collapsing the sealing ritual.
  • Shade invoked Luvia Annette’s name and used the Time Key as a staff to summon Tree’s Kiss, while a green tree rose beside the Blood-Red Giant Tree and flames began consuming it.

Ch. 1988The Inherited Cards

Shade extinguished the Tree’s Kiss crisis and found Laplace Klein Howard at the dock, where the diviner gave him cards and materials to help Leisha Cavendish and Dorothy Louisa resist merging. Laplace also revealed that he had invented the Sun, Moon, and Stars Ritual Matrix himself, leaving Shade stunned.

  • Shade established a new signpost in the Space Labyrinth, then used the Spacetime Spirit Rune to return to the lighthouse basement and travel north through the burning island.
  • Shade declined to use Mizzle Tower Lovers repeatedly or transform Iluna Bayes, choosing to bear the burden himself and use divine power cautiously.
  • Shade found Laplace Klein Howard sitting alone at the dock after the rain stopped and the island’s lake returned to normal.
  • Laplace explained that Leisha Cavendish and Dorothy Louisa could slow their souls’ fusion by using suitable Enlightenment items sealed in his alchemical cards.
  • Laplace gave Shade an Angel Level Relic Poems Card, instructions, a key to his remaining research materials, and details of his notes and alchemy supplies.
  • Laplace told Shade that he had created the Sun, Moon, and Stars Ritual Matrix based on the backs of the Myriad Aspects of Impermanence Cards, leaving Shade unable to believe him.
