Li Nian and Lin Yu sighed together as they watched the panicked escorts desperately trying to remember which two of their companions had gone missing.

"They probably won't be able to remember."

Li Nian spoke helplessly.

Lin Yu agreed—if these people could remember, they would have done so already.

There was no doubt that someone had altered these escorts' memories or cognition.

Lin Yu carefully went over his memories. He could vaguely recall two blurry figures and faces—which proved that there was nothing wrong with his own memory.

Li Nian, who was standing nearby, did not seem to have been affected either.

Did the other party lack confidence in changing his and Li Nian's memories, or did they simply have some reason for not wanting to do so?
