The Silver Dragon's Request
Christina, oblivious to the cold glint in the Red Dragon, continued:
"Her Dragon Queen Your Majesty said that you are her most valued offspring. She will ensure your smooth rule over Anzeta and make you an important part of the Chromatic Dragon's Great Blueprint."
Keosius wondered if he needed Kaisius's guarantee to rule the the North, but he still responded politely and calmly:
"Please thank His Majesty for his support, but I don't seem to lack such power."
"You"
Christina was speechless for a moment. She really didn't expect that someone would refuse aid that was offered to them, especially on the eve of the start of the war.
Keosius continued, "You don't need to be my helpers, just witnesses and observers of history, and my army and I will destroy all enemies, including that old Silver Dragon that has just awakened."
These words were calm and powerful, as if they were stating a trivial matter.
Christina was once again awestruck by this overwhelming confidence.
You should know that there is an ancient-level Magic-Devouring Silver Dragon in the enemy camp!
Even the most arrogant Great Wyrm Red Dragon wouldn't dare say it was 100% certain of victory, but the Red Dragon before it seemed to have already secured the win and was quietly waiting for the celebratory banquet.
However, she did not know that what Keosius wanted was to prevent these Blue Dragon from gaining a foothold in Anzeta. Once that door was opened, many of Tiamat's subordinates would likely infiltrate.
Moreover, in battles at his level, even these adult and strong Blue Dragon wouldn't be of much use, and might even affect his judgment in the fight.
In a large-scale war, the powerful army of the Embers of the Burned Kingdom is already enough to crush the enemy. Even if a dozen more Blue Dragon were to arrive, it would only be icing on the cake and would not have much impact on the overall situation of the war.
Christina couldn't help but say:
"Your confidence and strength are truly admirable."
"However, Her Dragon Queen Your Majesty has another decree."
She began to speak haltingly, her breathing became rapid, and her cheeks flushed.
"What imperial edict?"
Christina transformed into Blue Dragon over ten meters long and walked forward under Keosius's questioning gaze. With seductive eyes, she leaned against the Red Dragon's strong body and whispered in his ear:
"Your Keosius Your Highness, Her Dragon Queen Your Majesty has personally said that, as a gift to the Fabria Family for their many years of loyalty, you must bear me the most outstanding offspring."
Keosius's face darkened rapidly.
After chasing away the Blue Dragon mother who clung to his leg and cried out, "It was arranged by Her Dragon Queen Your Majesty," and wiping the drool off his face, Keosius laughed in anger, thinking to himself, "What a Tiamat! What a Five-Colored Dragon Queen! I have truly witnessed her shamelessness."
"While obtaining my bloodline and verifying the Kareks lineage, they can also deal with the Blue Dragon Clan and even infiltrate their own forces into the Embers of the Burned Kingdom."
"That's a really clever scheme to get something for nothing."
Tinia wagged her tail smugly beside her, spitting out a vicious spittle. "Pah, that blue-skinned dragon is definitely up to no good. With her stench of sand and that cone-shaped nose, does she even deserve to mate with you, Master?"
However, with Red Dragon present, she didn't dare to utter the second half of the sentence, "Only I have this qualification."
Keosius glanced at the foolish White Dragon and ignored her, instead seriously considering the matter of Oszedro, as the information had come at a very opportune time.
The absolute confidence I had shown earlier was only for the Blue Dragon's benefit.
Even without using the power of the "Heart of Kareks" within him, he was still somewhat wary of the Ancient Silver Dragon and didn't have absolute confidence.
It's important to know that the Silver Dragon is the second strongest metal dragon after the Golden Dragon Metallic Dragon, with combat power comparable to the Red Dragon. The Ancient Silver Dragon can reach level 23 in basic Challenge Rating alone, not to mention its spell-casting ability as Spell Hoarder.
"It seems I need to contact Olivia again."
That's what Keosius thought.
After that accident, he still felt a little guilty towards the Silver Dragon mage who had suffered such a tragic fate, but it wasn't much.
He didn't want to deliberately dismiss the idea; it might be the last vestige of his humanity.
Inside the secondary hall of the Iron Dragon Wing Palace.
Silver Dragon lay quietly on the ground, her wounds still not healed.
Fortunately, with Keosius's tacit approval, she has been freed from the chains and is able to move freely within the confines of the palace. She can even enjoy the delicacies prepared by the court chefs and obtain basic information about the outside world through the daily 《Kingdom Daily News》.
However, Olivia was not enjoying her recovery at this moment; instead, she looked worried.
Is war about to break out?
The Silver Dragon stared at the tightly closed palace gates, its gaze seemingly piercing through the palace to see the bloody, Hell battlefield and the gushing river of blood.
Having conducted on-site investigations and browsed the kingdom's newspapers, she knew that the the North was no match for the kingdom, and this war was likely to be a one-sided crushing defeat, or even a massacre.
Thinking of this, her heart trembled involuntarily.
Suddenly, Olivia felt a familiar sense of oppression.
With a loud bang, the tightly closed metal door slowly opened, and the enormous figure of the Red Dragon appeared in the doorway.
"Boom--"
Olivia looked up at those pale golden vertical pupils, and subconsciously bit her lip. She felt a mix of emotions and a multitude of thoughts in her mind. She had thought about how to deal with Keosius's arrival, but she found herself helpless.
How should she face this Red Dragon?
As the Red Dragon stepped across the threshold, the surrounding air suddenly became tense, and an inexplicable solemn atmosphere permeated the palace.
Finally, Keosius broke the silence:
"Long time no see, Olivia."
"."
After biting her lip and hesitating for a long time, Olivia finally mustered her courage and pleaded almost humbly:
"Keosius, can you stop?"
"Stop what?"
Keosius lowered his head slightly, gazing into the Silver Dragon's pale blue eyes.
Olivia looked up and met the Red Dragon's gaze with exceptional sincerity.
"All of this, including this war."
"Too many innocent lives have already been lost because of you, Keosius. Please stop, okay? I know you're not a pure evil dragon, but something has clouded your judgment. I'm willing to do everything in my power to help you—"
"Olivia, you're wrong."
Keosius interrupted her without hesitation.
"It's not that I don't want to stop, but that they're afraid. Whether it was the Battle of Triel or the Margur Incident, it was the Northern Nobles who took the initiative, while I was only forced to retaliate. Am I supposed to wash my neck clean and offer it to be slaughtered? Just because I'm Red Dragon?"
"You've seen quite a few things here, haven't you seen it clearly yet?"
"As long as my kingdom exists, the serfs and citizens who are exploited by the nobles will flock here one after another. It's not that I don't want to live in peace with them, but the Northern Nobles will not allow such a kingdom to exist, fearing that it will shake the foundation of Northern Nobles rule."
"Whether I am righteous or evil is not important to them. As long as I continue to allow the existence of serfdom and protect the power of these Northern Nobles, even if I am Abyssal Devil, they will cover for me in every way and even regard me as a wise and virtuous ruler. The reverse is also true."
The Red Dragon grinned, revealing a ferocious smile.
"In other words, justice and evil are not important to them; what is important to them is the absence of the Embers of the Burned Kingdom, this 'freak' that shakes their rule."
