Red and Silver (III)
"As expected of Tiamat's filthy offspring, he has truly inherited her talent for eloquence and confusing right and wrong!"
"Throughout my long life, I have fought countless Five-Colored Dragon, but in the end, I have only come to understand one thing—"
Oszedro stared at the Red Dragon, his hostility growing stronger. "Any advice to someone of Tiamat blood like you is a waste of breath."
"Only the purest power can subdue you! Make you realize your mistakes and return to the righteous path of the Lord of the North Wind!"
"Roar--
Oszedro roared again.
He suddenly flapped his broad, bright silver wings, and the surrounding hurricane became even more violent, with a frigid hailstorm surging towards the Red Dragon.
This was just a small test, but it was absolutely catastrophic for any mortal being.
Even the Lionheart Knight Order would be frozen into ice sculptures in the face of a storm of this magnitude.
"Ha, what an arrogant old man—"
"So, when you can't win an argument, you resort to bullying, right?"
Keosius sneered, roared, and flapped his wings in the air without flinching, creating a scorching hurricane.
With a slight shimmer of the dragon crystal on its chest, the Red Dragon opened its mouth and spewed out a blazing pillar of fire, instantly piercing through the extremely cold storm and rushing directly towards the Silver Dragon's body.
"Savage Red Dragon! I will show you the power of arcane magic!"
Oszedro hovered in place, and the crack-like magical runes on the Mage-Eater Dragon's body instantly lit up, causing the precious Magic Equipment to shimmer as well.
A series of spells were cast upon the bright silver dragon's body. School of Abjuration spells such as the Eric Protection Membrane, the Neziran Sapphire Barrier, and the Eberca Green Jade Energy Shield were released one after another, causing the smooth scales to reflect colorful and dazzling magical light.
This Ancient Silver Dragon was like a giant neon ball, making it impossible for the mortals watching to open their eyes, and even causing the players who were just watching to exclaim "light pollution".
However, this seems to be the correct style of combat for powerful spellcasters.
Because the same is true of Keosius.
Although he did not have Magic Scroll engraved on his scales, spells such as Calamity Dragon Eye, Dragon's Justice, Graceful Dragon were still released by the Red Dragon using [Super Magic: Instant Casting], and star-like spots of light appeared on his body.
A powerful surge of magical energy coursed around him, creating turbulent waves within the Weave.
Although it lacked the luxurious and dazzling light effects, its imposing presence was in no way inferior, thanks to the Red Dragon itself.
Keosius spread his wings and swooped down, unleashing a burst of blazing white flames as he approached the Silver Dragon.
"Boom!"
The Red Dragon's breath pierced through several magical shields, but before it could even touch the Silver Dragon's scales, it was blocked by the transparent ice barrier surrounding it.
Under the extreme heat caused by the flames, the ice sublimated into water vapor, and thick white mist continuously rose from the ice barrier, but the breath could not break it.
However, Oszedro did not passively defend, but instead used this opportunity to launch a counterattack.
"Diamond Star!"
Accompanied by the long, drawn-out Draconic, streaks of cold, piercing white stars streaked across the sky, falling like meteors straight toward the Red Dragon that was exhaling its breath.
However, Keosius had already foreseen the arrival of the spell using the Calamity Dragon Eye.
With his terrifying speed, Graceful Dragon, he merely flapped his wings and became a blur, flying hundreds of meters away.
The stars also chased after it, but they still couldn't keep up with the Red Dragon's terrifying speed, and in the end, they could only fall helplessly to the ground.
"Boom!"
Several terrifying Ice Mountain suddenly appeared on the ground. If the Silver Dragon hadn't deliberately controlled them, it would have frozen hundreds of allied soldiers who couldn't dodge in time.
"How is that possible? That's incredibly fast!"
Oszedro stared intently at the red figure, his eyes filled with disbelief.
In his memory, although Red Dragon possessed powerful melee abilities, their overdeveloped muscles often made them clumsy and crude, easily outmaneuvered by a high-level spellcaster like himself.
The "Dragon Prince" in front of them was incredibly fast; ordinary spells simply couldn't hit him easily.
But Oszedro was not discouraged. He raised his mithril staff, which was inlaid with a strange magic stone that resembled the void of the Astral Plane. His body radiated a dazzling magical light, and he unleashed frost, hurricanes, and radiance in succession, with various magical energies overflowing.
Meanwhile, Keosius was surrounded by flames and lightning, Contend Against the spells cast by the Ancient Silver Dragon. He transformed into a red afterimage, constantly circling him at high speed, preparing to find an opportunity to engage him in close combat.
A thick white fog filled the air, blanketing the wasteland and obscuring the view of those below.
People on the ground could only see blurry figures appearing and disappearing in the clouds and mist, hear the howling of the wind and the roar of the dragon, and hear the crackling of lightning.
The entire wasteland trembled.
"What kind of battle is this?"
"How could such a thing exist?"
"This is too, too terrible! We have to get out of here!"
This was merely a test between the two sides, yet the resulting spectacle was even more terrifying than the previous chaotic battle involving tens of thousands of people. The people on the ground stared in horror at the enormous Ice Mountain that rose up like miracles, their faces filled with fear and disbelief.
the North living in the Magic Wasteland were witnessing such a massive battle for the first time, and the very beginning of the battle had already exceeded their expectations.
"Is this the spell you're so proud of? Severely harming your own allies?"
Keosius mocked mercilessly.
He let out a long roar, and hundreds of tiny, scorching volcanic rocks flew toward the Silver Dragon, while billowing volcanic ash and smoke poured down.
"Such magic—you dare to show off in front of me?"
Oszedro roared, and the frost necklace on his chest emitted endless coldness. The wave instantly froze all the volcanic rocks and ash in the sky, causing them to fall to the ground like hail.
The Silver Dragon soared into the air, opened its mouth, and instinctively tried to unleash its breath in retaliation.
But hidden within the volcanic ash fog was an inconspicuous energy ray that shot straight toward the Silver Dragon's back; that was Keosius's true killing move.
That's the Magical Atrophy!
It even uses super magic to enhance the spells and upgrade the spellcasting of Magical Atrophy with a ninth-ring level Spell Slot!
"The Greater Disintegrate?"
Oszedro's expression changed drastically.
Even with several warning spells and protective spells already triggered on its body, the Ancient Silver Dragon's massive and clumsy body still couldn't dodge, and it had no choice but to rely on its physical body to withstand the spell.
Upon contact with his body, the ray instantly pierced through several shields, creating a massive Anti-Magic Field that enveloped half of his body.
The magical patterns on the hundreds of scales on the Silver Dragon's body dimmed, and even the precious rings and necklaces became covered with a layer of dust, some even cracking and turning into fine powder.
Oszedro's face immediately darkened.
For a dragon, even a lawful and benevolent Metallic Dragon, nothing provokes its wrath more than the destruction of its treasure.
What's more, the Red Dragon destroyed his meticulously crafted magical scales.
"No—the cunning Red Dragon!"
But Keosius felt particularly comfortable.
A sense of schadenfreude spread through his heart; this old Silver Dragon might not necessarily be richer than him now.
