Arrival at Brass Fortress
"Boom!"
The Red Dragon flapped its wings high in the sky, casually smashing the meteorite that blocked its way.
Keosius narrowed his eyes slightly and asked casually, "How do you Fire Dwarf live?"
Upon hearing this question, Greenton puffed out his chest with pride.
"Each to perform their duties, Your Majesty Keosius."
"Our Fire Dwarf society is the most perfect in this plane. Unlike the brutality of the Fire Giant and the savagery of the Fire Lizard, every Fire Dwarf inherits his or her parents' profession from birth and is bound to fulfill his or her duties for life."
"The nobles in brass kilts were responsible for ruling and defending against foreign enemies, the merchants in Bronze Skirt were responsible for trade and selling goods, and the servants, craftsmen and laborers in Copper Skirt."
"Our lives are always so well-organized; each fortress is like a finely crafted machine."
Green's words were tinged with pride.
The Fire Dwarf was always conscientious and responsible, and he was no exception as a guide, always speaking his mind without reservation.
"The Caste System"
Listening to the Fire Dwarf's description of a flawless society, Keosius could only recall the word from his past life and glanced at him with a smile.
"So you're saying you're considered a noble among the Fire Dwarf?"
Green proudly puffed out his chest again, especially shaking his brass-cast skirt. "Of course, Your Majesty, our Cardoso Family has been a noble family among the Fire Dwarf for four thousand years."
"Seven hundred years ago, my father personally crafted my body and infused me with the flame of life. The memories of their participation in building the City of Pig Iron and the City of Brass have also been passed down to me."
A barely perceptible hint of surprise flashed in the Red Dragon's pale golden pupils.
Seven hundred years.
This is a considerable amount of time, even for dragons, which are referred to by mortals as "immortal beings."
A dragon that is seven hundred years old is called an "Extremely Old Dragon," which is the last stage in a dragon's life when it is still capable of reproduction.
Many Five-Colored Dragon don't even live to this age before being killed by the army or adventurers.
For Keosius, a "teenage dragon" who was only in his early twenties, the journey seemed even longer.
"Very good."
"Green Cardoso, you are very lucky."
"Perhaps you will become a link between the Empire and the Fire Dwarf Kingdom."
The Red Dragon looked down at the seemingly insignificant but seven-hundred-year-old Fire Dwarf in its claws, and finally a hint of importance appeared in its eyes.
Originally, he only regarded the Fire Elemental Plane as a place for him to plunder Fire Elemental energy.
But now he realizes that perhaps the empire needs to have its own colony here.
"Hehe, thank you, Your Majesty."
Green scratched his head, looking on with a puzzled but impressive expression.
He felt that although His Majesty looked terrifying, he was quite kind to people and even had a good impression of their Fire Dwarf race.
We're almost there.
"That's it, the Brass Fortress of the Fire Dwarf."
The Red Dragon tilted its powerful wings, spreading them slightly, in preparation for a dive to land.
It was a massive structure whose main body was located underground, with its protruding parts made of gleaming brass and basalt.
"Etc."
What is that?
Roars and howls came from the ground, followed by familiar explosions and the hissing of steam.
Before the Brass Fortress, creatures that appeared as tiny grains of rice to Keosius high in the sky were entangled together, while flames and steam filled the ground.
He saw Fire Lizard wielding a halberd, a tall and sturdy Fire Giant, and Flame Wyvern flapping its wings in mid-air.
On the other side of the battlefield were Fire Dwarf wielding bronze hammers, and—the Empire's advance force equipped with rifles and cannons.
"Your Majesty Keosius!"
"It's the Fire Giant ' raiders! Those despicable bastards are attacking again!"
Green exclaimed excitedly.
Cassius's eyes narrowed slightly, a smile appeared in his pale gold pupils, and the corners of his ferocious mouth also slightly raised. '
"Is this the Fire Giant' army?"
"Looks like I've arrived just in time."
His massive dragon body was shimmering with wisps of magical light, and with the flapping of his wings, his speed increased further.
"Boom——"
A piercing sonic boom rang out.
With a whooshing sound like tearing silk, the Red Dragon ripped straight through the sky of the Fire Elemental Plane.
A long, narrow cloud of explosions remained against the orange-red sky, seemingly splitting the sky in two.
"Boom!"
The shell fell from the sky and smashed the head of a Fire Lizard.
"Sizzle~~"
This is a mournful wail in the Fire Clan Language.
The Fire Lizard's snake-tail-like lower body twitched a few times, then stopped moving, and the burning fibers covering its body gradually went out.
"Clang!"
The halberd in his hand fell to the ground.
But the Fire Giant not far away simply crossed his arms and watched indifferently, then drew his scimitar from his waist and raised it high.
"A despicable creature from the Material Plane!"
"Hand over that human bastard Misha! We might spare your life!"
"And the Fire Dwarf! If you keep hiding these guys, we'll smash your Brass Fortress!"
"Boom!"
His response was met with scorching hot metal shells, the dense barrage immediately covering the Fire Giant's location, forcing him to scramble away.
"By the Flame Lord, you damned material bastard!"
"Destroy them!"
The Fire Giant raised his scimitar high in his left hand and brandished his long whip in his right, shouting angrily, his eyes burning with fierce flames.
"Roar--"
"Attack!"
The Flame Wyvern and Fire Lizard began another round of attacks.
Meanwhile, in the fortifications in front of the Brass Fortress, the Empire's advance party was equally agitated, led by a Half-Dragon.
His name is Serkan Wood. He joined during the Embers of the Burned Kingdom era and has distinguished himself in the the North Battlefield. He is now a glorious Imperial Viscount and the main leader of the Fire Elemental Plane Vanguard.
This time, he volunteered to go to the most dangerous battlefield in the Fire Elemental Plane, but encountered unprecedented setbacks.
Given the extreme environment here, the troops sent this time are all the most elite Half-Dragon! Serkan spat fiercely and cursed angrily:
"I've had enough of these damn Fire Elemental bastards!"
The Half-Dragon adjutant nodded in agreement, echoing:
"By the great Keosius, explosions cannot harm them at all—even cannonballs have to hit them to be effective."
Serkan kicked the fortification in front of him, cursing angrily:
"I'll go back and report to the Imperial Magic Department, and have them send a group of mages specializing in ice and water magic to kill these bastards!"
Upon hearing this, the Fire Dwarf who was hammering and repairing the brass fortifications nearby immediately shrank back.
They are also elemental beings.
"Buzz—"
Suddenly, a piercing shriek came from the sky.
The Half-Dragon adjutant turned around, looked up, and discovered a spectacular phenomenon in the sky.
In an instant, he suddenly had a bold conjecture, and this conjecture was about to be proven true.
"Captain! Captain! Look!"
Serkan turned his head in surprise, only to find his adjutant kneeling on the ground, his expression fanatical.
What surprised him even more was that even the Fire Dwarf who were building the fortifications were dumbfounded and exclaimed, "Moradin is above!"
So he looked up at the sky.
"Thump."
Serkan also knelt down, muttering to himself.
"Keosius above"
The Red Dragon streaked across the sky like a meteor, crashing straight into the Fire Giant's army's position.
"Boom!"
As the earth of the Fire Elemental Plane trembled violently, ashes filled the air and flames soared into the sky.
