Battle of the End
"Get out of my way, all of you!"
Batu Shatterskull roared to the sky, swinging his battle axe with the speed and force of a storm, crescent-shaped streaks of blood-red light swirling around his body.
"Careful!"
Rhea flapped her black wings, her body enveloped in silver armor formed from divine energy, and soared into the air, dodging attack after attack.
Ed gripped his warhammer horizontally, with thick, tortoise-shell-like rocks blocking his path and shielding him from Batu's attack. Rock fragments flew everywhere, leaving numerous knife marks on them.
But the other Dwarf and orcs fared much worse. The Orc Chieftain launched indiscriminate attacks on his surroundings, was like a moving meat grinder. Wherever he went, there was devastation and bloodshed.
The orcs howled, begging their chieftain to spare them, but the madman Batu showed no distinction between friend and foe, hacking Dwarf, Elf, and orcs to pieces.
As the killing continued, the totems on Batu Shatterskull became increasingly ferocious, and his aura rose steadily, as if an invisible giant maw was devouring the blood and souls of those who died by his axe.
Of course, faced with this blood-red storm, the Dwarf Fighter were powerless and lost their lives one after another.
Seeing this, Ed's eyes turned red, and boundless rage boiled within them. "Orc! I will personally end your ugly life, at any cost!"
The Dwarf king leaped up and swung his warhammer with all his might, smashing it down on the head of the orc who was slaughtering the orcs.
As he moved, the sand and dust on the ground suddenly rose up, and countless sharp stones came flying like arrows.
Unexpectedly, Batu's power far exceeded Ed's expectations. Just as the warhammer was about to fall, the Dwarf king's pupils constricted sharply.
"When--"
The metallic clanging sound was excruciating, and the ground was whipped up into a sandstorm once more.
A giant axe came crashing down from the sky, and Ed's powerful attack was deflected by Batu's single-arm swing of the axe, sending Ed flying backward.
"How is that possible?"
The Dwarf king was terrified. The opponent's immense power made his hands go numb, and the blood vessels in his palms burst, spitting out blood.
Sharp stones, like a barrage of arrows, rained down on the Orc Chieftain, leaving wounds of all sizes on his strong, muscular body.
But Batu Shatterskull paid no heed. He raised his battle axe, grinned maliciously, and jumped up, wanting to press his advantage and end the life of the Dwarf king.
Just then, a sharp female voice came from the sky, a voice like a judgment from Mount Paradise, echoing over the battlefield.
"Orc, you have harmed innocent lives and invaded the Dwarf ' homeland. Your crimes are unforgivable!"
"In the name of the Vengeance Knight, show no mercy to villains—"
Everyone looked up in unison, even Batu looked up in astonishment, a mark of Oath of Hatred appearing on his head.
The Half-elf Paladin hovered high in the sky, her black wings spread wide. She gripped the hilt of her sword with both hands, and her eyes shone with a faint, emotionless light.
With a look of anger on her face, she raised the silver sword high with both hands and uttered the final verdict.
"Sworn Enemy!"
In an instant, the light of dusk emerged behind her, turning half the sky orange-red, like a sunset.
At this moment, the full power of the "Twilight Blade" was finally revealed!
The Sword of Damocles, composed of endless radiance, suddenly descended from the clouds, piercing the orc who had leaped into the air and bringing him down.
At this moment, Ed rolled around on the ground a few times, picked up the hammer, and got up, his eyes shining with excitement.
"Hahaha! What a great opportunity! I'll end this orc's life now and avenge my people!"
"Go to hell!"
With a roar, Ed lifted his warhammer and leaped high into the air, summoning a giant Rock Cone more than ten meters in diameter, which he slammed down on the rapidly falling orc.
The Orc Chieftain was first pinned to the ground by the Judge's sword, and then crushed down by the Rock Cone.
"Boom!"
The earth trembled, the ground cracked, and spiderweb-like fissures appeared on it. Countless fragments of stone flew up, and dust filled the sky.
Enveloped in sand and dust, in a hazy mist, people could only see the shadow of the massive Rock Cone, but not the state of Batu Shatterskull.
"Phew, phew, this guy should be dead by now."
Ed knelt on the ground, panting heavily, his hand gripping the warhammer tightly, sweat beading on his palm.
"No, he is not dead yet."
Rhea, hovering in mid-air, spoke in a heavy voice, looking down at the earth with her eyes fixed on the swirling sandstorm.
Rhea cautioned, "My enemy's oath has not been broken; that orc is still alive!"
Rhea showed no mercy, brandishing her silver sword with a breathtaking glint in her eyes.
The Most Holy Slash! A sword light radiating the glow of twilight descended from the sky, cleaving the earth in two.
Immediately afterwards, countless illusory souls of Dwarf, humans, and even orcs who had died at Batu's hands, their eyes burning with the fury of revenge, surged toward their former enemies one after another.
That's the Vengeance Soul!
"Damn orcs! If that's how it is, I'll make sure they're dead!"
Ed's face darkened. He used the handle of his hammer to support himself as he stood up, then raised the warhammer high again and brought it down with a series of thuds, like a blacksmith.
The earth groaned, and the mountains trembled.
Clear marks of hammering appeared on the ground, each blow penetrating several feet deep and creating numerous cracks around it.
Immediately afterwards, rocks rained down from the sky, so densely that they almost buried the area and even formed small hills.
Finally, raging flames erupted from the ground, burning everything on it—that was Moradin's Soul-Forging Fire!
"Boom!"
The attacks from the two legendary powerhouses, Ed and Rhea, were relentless, bombarding the area and arbitrarily altering the environment.
When the smoke cleared, the place had become a ruin filled with rubble and riddled with holes, eerily quiet.
Is he dead?
"Under such an offensive, even a dragon wouldn't survive."
"Impossible! Batu is immortal!"
The Dwarf, Elf, and orcs present all stared intently at the ruins, holding their breath and whispering among themselves, anticipating the outcome of the battle.
If Batu were to die, countless orcs, Dwarf, and Elf would be transformed.
"Snap."
But just then, a slight sound came from the rocky hill, and several small stones rolled down from its top.
Immediately afterwards, a deep voice came from the bottom of the ruins, echoing across the chaotic battlefield.
"Hahaha"
"What doesn't kill me makes me stronger!"
With a roar, countless rocks flew out, dust billowed up, and a ferocious figure emerged from the ruins, causing the hill to collapse suddenly.
At this moment, the orc's body was covered with dense wounds, with not a single patch of intact skin left, and flowing blood covering his skin.
But this actually helped him complete a strange ritual; the crimson blood gradually condensed on his body, forming countless hideous totems.
The Eye of Gruumsh - Ritual Scar! "Kill, kill you all!"
At this moment, the totems on the beast's body surface were lifelike, and scalding steam spewed from its pores, while its single eye was now occupied by frenzied blood vessels.
Batu Shatterskull raised his battle axe high, the blade smeared with his own blood.
Suddenly, an endless, foul wind arose, and an immense pressure spread out, causing everyone present to tremble.
A phantom several tens of meters tall appeared behind Batu Shatterskull —a massive orc clad in full black plate armor, scarred by battle, and with only a single eye in the center.
"Praise be to those the Never-Sleeping One!"
Praise be to the great Father God!
The orcs roared with fervor, for they had witnessed the incarnation of their Father God! Although it was not a true incarnation, but merely a phantom summoned by the artifact "Blood of Gruumsh," its unparalleled power still filled the Dwarf and Elf with despair.
Ed felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave, his face turning pale. "By Moradin, this damned orc is indeed Favored by the Gods!"
Rhea, however, remained unfazed, wielding her sword in one hand as she swooped down. "Villain! Even if your god himself descended, he could not save your life!"
"Whoosh—"
Another ray of twilight light streaked across the sky, but Batu raised his battle axe and easily blocked the Vengeance Knight's all-out attack.
Ed gritted his teeth, slammed his warhammer to the ground, and roared, "Pay for my people's lives!"
"Boom!"
"Boom! Boom!"
Sharp rock spikes suddenly jutted out from the ground, seemingly trying to pierce through everything on the surface.
But Batu Shatterskull suddenly stomped on the ground, and the blood-red totem wrapped around his feet crushed the rock spikes to dust.
Raging fire suddenly erupted from the cracks in the earth, but the orcs were not afraid at all. They bathed in the flames and grinned ferociously.
"I've said it before—what doesn't kill me only makes me stronger! That's what orcs are all about!"
Batu clenched his fist, and a blood-red storm rose into the air, sweeping towards the direction of the Vengeance Knight and slaughtering all the creatures caught in it.
On the city wall, watching Rhea dodge and weave through the air in a disheveled state, the Elf ' faces showed anxiety and tension.
Seymour gritted his teeth and raised his staff. "Go help Lady Rhea! She has an even more important mission! We can't let her die here!"
Instantly, the Elf mages raised their staffs and cast spells: Immobilization Spell, Disease Spell, Blindness Spell, and High Elf Curse. Beams of various magical light rushed towards the orcs.
However, Batu Shatterskull simply stood there, enduring all the spells without any change, and even grinned at the Elf.
"Heh heh, weak long ears, your so-called magic is utterly useless against the Fighter of Gruumsh!"
This is the characteristic of the Eye of Gruumsh —thousands of years of blood feuds that allow them to Contend Against the Elf cast by the elves with their bare bodies.
"And you, long-bearded bastards! Your fortified strongholds, on which you depend for survival, are nothing but a joke before the great One-Eyed God!"
Batu Shatterskull raised his giant axe again and swung it down with tremendous force.
But this time, his target was not Rhea, Ed, or any of the extraordinary beings present.
— Rather, it was the tall, sturdy, and millennia-old walls of Avendell Dan.
As he moved, the phantom of Gruumsh behind him raised his giant axe and slowly swung it down in front of tens of thousands of people.
"Boom!"
Space trembled, and mountains roared.
The axe blade, imbued with destructive power and divine might, fell, instantly shattering the solid brickwork forged from metal and rock.
The Dwarf and Elf soldiers stationed on the city walls were terrified and scrambled for cover, but they were still torn to shreds by the fierce wind.
At this moment, a gap tens of meters long and several meters wide was cleaved in the walls of Avendell Dan, which had stood for thousands of years, and it was even gradually collapsing!
Yet the giant axe continued, splitting through the city walls, cleaving the ground, and even striking the solid foundations of Avendell Dan.
You must understand that this is a fortress built against a mountain. If the foundation collapses, everything inside the city will crumble and the thousand-year-old foundation of the High Mountain Kingdom will be reduced to ruins.
This Orc Chieftain has gone mad!
He wasn't satisfied with just conquering Avendell Dan; he wanted to completely destroy the city and break down the Dwarf ' psychological defenses!
"No--"
Staring helplessly at the collapsing city wall, Ed roared in a heart-wrenching rage, his eyes practically spitting fire.
"Orc, I will never let you destroy the millennia-old foundation of the High Mountain Kingdom!"
Ed had lost his mind; he raised his warhammer and charged forward almost madly.
Blood was boiling, and the Dwarf king was surrounded by shattered rocks and flames, like a Lava Giant.
"Arrogant fool!"
Rhea shouted loudly, gripped her silver sword in one hand, spread her black wings, and swooped down.
Above the clouds, the Golden Dragon, who was locked in battle with the rotting, enormous orc, also noticed the fierce fighting on the ground and poked its head out to look.
"What a commotion!"
"According to the plot, King Ed will sacrifice his life, fusing himself with the warhammer to shatter the orcs' defenses."
Rhea would then slay the Orc Chieftain, end the war, and gain the full support of the Dwarf. "That's what the Golden Dragon, or rather Keosius, thought."
"Smack!"
The Golden Dragon slapped the rotting orc's head flat with its claw, chuckling as it said, "Sorry, I'm not going to bother with you anymore. It's time for me to go and reap the rewards on the battlefield!"
"Roar--"
A loud dragon roar came from the horizon, and a huge Golden Dragon spread its broad wings and swooped down from the sky.
"Orc! That hideous monster has been killed by me, and the next sinner to be Punishment is you!"
Keosius thought to himself that being a righteous brawler was definitely more enjoyable than being a boss, except that he usually played the latter role.
In an instant, three legendary figures— Dwarf, Half-elf, Golden Dragon —rushed in from different directions, but they all shared a common goal.
—That was Batu Shatterskull, chieftain of the Red Blood Tribe and a follower of Gruumsh!
"Bring it on!"
"After thousands of years of suffering, the orcs will finally reclaim their land, a gift from our Father God! And you hypocritical righteous people will be slaughtered by us, becoming the souls buried beneath the orcs' land!"
Batu Shatterskull showed no fear. He raised the "Blood of Gruumsh" in his hand, then roared to the sky, venting his anger to the fullest.
At that moment, the blind man's divine vision activated, Batu saw the instant of his impending death through his lost eye—[Unblinking Vision].
