History
Creation and deduction phase
Zhang Zhi opened the Small World after activating the World Seed issued by his school. Because his mutated Mental Power allowed him to refine Cards before opening a world, he had already accumulated hundreds of Cards in his Sea of Consciousness. He began by integrating sixteen Land Cards, water resources, copper, iron, and coal mines, then added forests, grasslands, livestock, fish, and other creatures to form a functioning ecosystem 3.
He subsequently integrated two White Rank Human Cards and the unique White Rank Daoist Apprentice Card. The latter contained a single exceptionally gifted child rather than a crowd of ordinary humans, making it a risky but crucial investment in the world's initial strength 3 4.
Once Zhang Zhi severed his mental link, the new world entered a seven-day self-evolution period with a time flow exceeding a thousand times that of the Main World. During nineteen years within the world, the Daoist apprentice—later named Fang Yun—mastered the Blood Forging Technique, organized the human population, founded settlements and a private school, and expanded the population from 583 to 9,352 4 8.
Early growth
Fang Yun's advancement to Green Rank, equivalent to the Mortal Transformation Realm, gave the Small World an unusually powerful foundation immediately after creation. The World Bead initially displayed more than a dozen White Card Slots and dozens of Gray Card Slots, far beyond ordinary opening standards 5.
Zhang Zhi expanded the world through Human, resource, plant, technique, and weather Cards. Its population exceeded 60,000 while it contained thirty-three Mortal Transformation retainers below Fang Yun and more than 11,300 Elite Realm individuals 56. Later large-scale Human Card integration raised the population beyond 1.6 million 127.
World Wreckage and the Underworld
A massive World Wreckage, potentially originating from a Great Thousand World or Main World, appeared beside the Small World. Its visible portion alone was nearly as large as the Small World itself, presenting both a source of Laws and a severe external danger 115.
The world began absorbing wreckage, including its residual Laws, to strengthen its Divinity Laws and physical territory 137. Its emerging Underworld, centered on Fengdu City's Ghost Gate Pass, attracted wandering souls from nearby wreckage. This led Zhang Zhi to develop the Underworld Path into the Six Paths of Reincarnation Path 121 123.
The Ghost Gate Pass later admitted Foreign Race souls and Evil Creatures. A bizarre sentient Evil Creature defeated two enemies of the Six Paths of Reincarnation Path during one opening and became a guardian of the Underworld 176.
Thousand World era
After becoming a Large Small World, the realm continued to develop multiple cultivation paths, technological institutions, exploration teams, and kingdoms. Its retainers independently explored nearby wreckage, built airships and mechas, and established systems for research, trade, cultivation, and defense 121 148 225.
By the time it reached the Thousand World level, the Small World had become known as the Qi Refinement Small World due to Fang Yun's pioneering Qi Refiner Path, which was considered capable of substantially strengthening the Human Race 535 719.
World Traits
| World Trait | Effect | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Abundance of Treasures | Increases the likelihood of rare treasures and Heavenly Materials appearing within the world. | Zhang Zhi attributes many of the world's unexpected Card and resource gains to this trait 47 247. |
| Talent Abundance | Improves the Bone Structure, Potential, and Talent of humans; a portion of these improvements can be inherited by later generations. | Its effects accumulate slowly across many generations, making it especially valuable while the world's accelerated time flow remains high 100. |
| Creation of Heaven and Earth | Multiplies the speed and efficiency with which Chaos Qi becomes new land around the world's borders. | The world expanded outward by eight kilometers in a single day and was estimated to gain roughly 800 million square kilometers annually 511. |
Cultivation Paths and Development
| Path / field | Development within the Small World |
|---|---|
| Blood Refinement | Fang Yun created the Eighteen Forms of Blood Forging and Blood Refinement Art during the deduction phase. The path became a foundational cultivation method, especially for people lacking spiritual roots 8 123. |
| Immortal Cultivation | The Zhou Kingdom developed around Immortal Cultivation, though its growth was constrained by the scarcity of people with spiritual roots 148. |
| Qi Refiner Path | Fang Yun later solved the route toward the Thousand World level for Qi Refiners. The path became the defining feature of Zhang Zhi's first world 296 719. |
| Fantasy Path | Zhang Zhi established Xuan Han to develop the Fantasy Path and balance the powers of the existing kingdoms 137. |
| Six Paths of Reincarnation | Built around the Underworld, Ghost Gate Pass, soul-related techniques, and Underworld Path Cards. Its cultivators can contact Underworld creatures, though communication remains limited by those creatures' low intelligence 123 148. |
| Extraordinary Technology | The Shang Kingdom established research and engineering institutions combining Runes, Array Formations, Artifact Forging, and technology. Its projects include hydrogen balloons, flying boats, airships, power devices, and mecha assembly lines 121 127 225. |
