Consciousness had not been attached to the Crystal Dragon avatar for long. To everyone else, Ian had merely placed his hand on the dragon egg and remained silent for about half an hour before the formerly still egg began to tremble.
Then the egg cracked, and the tiny Crystal Dragon crawled out of its shell, looking somewhat bewildered.
"Roar?"
It moved its limbs and swished its tail. The young dragon looked around and let out a soft cry, drawing quiet gasps from the others and Sha Sha's startled "Oh?"
Of course, no one asked Ian how he had hatched the egg—Ian could simply do such things, and everyone present trusted him that much.
"How do you feel?"
Ian bent down to communicate with the young dragon, and the little creature affectionately raised its head and rubbed against the boy's cheek.
So refreshing!
Its thoughts were almost cheering: So comfortable!

Elder Pude—a strange old man with very high seniority.
