In the laboratory, Ian, in Fairy form, kept sighing deeply, making Frozen Fish and Gan Song beside him turn their heads repeatedly. "I really never expected that Fairies not only couldn't lie, but couldn't even conceal their own preferences."

"Isn't that obvious?" The two Fairies found it quite marvelous. "If you don't even dare say out loud what you like, then what kind of Fairy are you?"

"I like all Fairies and killer whales the most!" Frozen Fish declared loudly. Gan Song merely pursed her lips in a smile and said softly, "I like guiding other Fairies onto their own paths."

It was all so obvious that it felt like nonsense.

But Fairies were creatures who remained consistent from beginning to end.

"That's true."

Ian thought it over and felt that they were right—if one could not even openly tell others what one liked, then either there was something wrong with oneself, or there was something wrong with human society, or with the world itself.

Then why should he hide his own goals and preferences?

Having resolved to change the world, Ian focused his attention on crafting a brand-new humanoid body for himself.

This was not difficult. As everyone knew, miniaturizing functions had always been a challenge. Building a nimble robot the size of two palms was difficult, but building a humanoid mechanical suit of armor was not particularly hard.
