Thanos had no idea what Andrew had arranged. He was searching Earth for traces left behind by the Demon Kings.
The Demon Kings had never forgotten Earth. Over thousands of years, they had made many preparations. For example, Trigon had created a Pool of Immortality. No matter how badly Ninja Master was injured, he could recover as long as he soaked in it.
Of course, Thanos did not go looking for the Pool of Immortality. Andrew knew about it, and if he went there, he would most likely be walking into a trap.
Besides the Pool of Immortality, the other Demon Kings had made their own arrangements. Before long, Thanos found a ruined Altar in a hidden corner of New York. He complained, "Do Demon Kings especially like New York too?"
After finding the Altar, Thanos got to work. What did he do? Simple: gather Demon's believers and bring them here to pray or offer sacrifices.
Gathering believers was not difficult at all. America already had plenty of weirdos, and the current Doomsday Nightmare had filled many people with fear and despair. All he needed was some slogan like "Believe in Demon and gain immortality," and he could easily fool them into coming.
The difficult part was getting them to the Altar without anyone noticing. Modern society was full of cameras, and Alice could even make phone cameras take pictures automatically.
To avoid being discovered by Alice, Thanos had to make the believers throw away their phones, then sneak over through the sewers.
"What a hassle. Still, no matter how troublesome it is, it has to be done."
