"An alarm? Another disaster?"
The piercing alarm jolted countless New Yorkers awake, including Samantha, who was nearly being driven mad by studying—and nearly driving Tony mad as well.
Samantha had originally been responsible for overseeing matters in Los Angeles, but had been forced to return to New York for her studies. After waking up, she quickly got dressed while asking through her communicator, "Director Newman, what's happening?"
"The Negative Legion is invading. Samantha, immediately join the superheroes and intercept the Negative Legion. Try not to let them leave Queens. I'll dispatch Ability Users and the military to support you as quickly as possible."
Director Newman gave the order urgently. Samantha swiftly finished dressing and rushed out of her home. Then, Thrusters formed behind her back, and she shot into the sky, flying rapidly toward Queens.
"Where's the King of Abilities? Isn't he there?"
After flying into the air, Samantha asked, "I can sense an extremely powerful fluctuation in Queens. It might be a Skyfather."
"A Skyfather? Fuck, I'll go deal with that Skyfather right away. As for the King of Abilities, he's not here. I can't reach him."
Director Newman said that her current clone was the Demon King's corpse, barely capable of fighting a Skyfather. Well, it would basically just get beaten up, but it could stall for a while.
There was no helping it. This was, after all, only the Demon King's corpse, and Director Newman's combat experience was honestly rather average.
Besides, Andrew was currently merging with Kaguya Otsutsuki. He had shut off all signals. It would be absurd if, while he was eavesdropping on villains like in a movie, his phone suddenly rang.
