"What are you panicking for? We've made extensive preparations for this day. We will not lose today."
General Ross shouted at the scout, who gave a bitter smile inwardly. Would their preparations really help? There were far too many monsters.
The scout then delivered a detailed report. With so many monsters around, they had not dared get too close and had only gathered some basic information.
After hearing the report, General Ross did not force the scouts to investigate further. Instead, he said, "All of you, come back. Don't let the monsters spot you. What comes next is a head-on showdown."
"Yes, General."
The scout breathed a sigh of relief and immediately retreated with the others. The Monster Commander had actually already spotted them, but had done nothing. There was no need.
"Mister Demon, the King of Abilities should already be inside the Gathering Place. Should we challenge him first, or attack the walls directly?"
The Horned Commander put the question to Demon. Demon glanced at him and snorted inwardly. Clearly, this fellow wanted to challenge the King of Abilities directly—he obviously did not believe he would lose to him.
The Horned Commander had already been powerful, and the King of Negativity had recently strengthened him further. Brimming with confidence, he naturally thought little of the King of Abilities. After all, the King of Abilities was merely a human.
"Attack the walls directly. Use the Gathering Place to tie down the King of Abilities. If necessary, we can attack its soldiers and distract him by forcing him to save them."
Demon spoke coldly. This would also make it easier to escape. The Losers Alliance had used this tactic of exploiting an opponent's concern for others several times, and it had worked well every time.
