The Sea Goddess nodded as she spoke. In truth, those two were not the only ones he had persuaded. She had been persuaded herself, though she had not realized it.
Andrew smiled without answering. His earlier efforts had been mere tricks; he had yet to bring out his ultimate weapon for physical persuasion.
Many people believed that the more desperate a situation became, the more united people would be. Reality was often the opposite: desperation only bred greater chaos. The Sea Goddess's Followers were a perfect example. Even faced with their current plight, they still failed to unite.
Of course, that also had much to do with the number of traitors among them. No one knew how many traitors lurked within the Sea Goddess's Followers. After all, all of the Six Great Powers had planted infiltrators.
At present, the Sea Goddess's Followers were divided into three major groups. One was the Handmaiden Faction, led by the Sea Goddess's handmaiden. It had a large number of Ability Users, and the handmaiden also possessed treasures the Sea Goddess had left behind.
Well, that handmaiden was human, not some marine creature. In fact, she had been the first human to meet the Sea Goddess, and the first human the goddess had saved. That was why she had chosen to become the Sea Goddess's handmaiden.
Another faction had been formed around the Sea Goddess's guards. Its members were mostly fighters, and they were very strong. That was only natural. Anyone without real skill would never have qualified to serve as one of the Sea Goddess's guards.
Unfortunately, during the first wave of attacks, they had been a priority target for the Six Great Powers and suffered devastating losses. Their current
