The superheroes' faces darkened at that. If the Dream Demon King really succeeded, they would be in trouble.
The problem was that, as superheroes, they could never sacrifice innocent civilians. That went completely against their principles.
After a moment of silence, Iron Man asked, "Andrew, how powerful are those Ancient Creatures?"
"You're asking me? Who am I supposed to ask?"
Andrew spread his hands. "I don't have much information yet, either. All our intelligence on the Mysterious Organization came from what Alice dug out of their computers."
Batman said, "Whether it's Dream or the Ancient Creatures, we have to deal with both. Let's take them one at a time."
Everyone nodded. Although the Dream situation might only be a smokescreen, if they did nothing, who knew whether the Dream Demon King would turn that bluff into reality?
Flash asked, "Is there any way to stop Dream from being sold?"
"Probably not."
Tony shook his head. "Our Justice League is definitely stronger than the Justice Society and Argus, but they have far more manpower than we do. If they can't handle it, neither can we. We can't just kill everyone selling the stuff, can we?
"Even if we went that far and killed them all, it still wouldn't help. Dream's effects are so powerful that the people taking it would risk their lives to find more.
"Right now, there are only two things we can do: slow Dream's spread as much as possible and develop an antidote."
"We can get the Justice Society and Argus to help slow its spread."
Batman said, "We can tell them about the first matter, but keep the second quiet for now. Given how Argus operates, they'll definitely do everything they can to protect the Mysterious Organization and let them complete the Sacrificial Ritual."
Everyone nodded.
