"These guys, not a single one of them was any good."
Fire flashed in Andrew's eyes, and the directors' souls were instantly ignited by Hellfire.
This was the Spirit of Vengeance's Eye of Judgment.
"Don't!"
All the directors cried out in terror and agony. Then, the flames vanished, and the directors collapsed into their seats, drenched in sweat, their eyes filled with fear. Even their muscles were twitching.
Susan stared in astonishment, completely unable to understand why this had happened—because of where she stood, she could not see the fire in Andrew's eyes.
Andrew rose to his feet and instructed, "Howard, sign contracts with them and buy the group's shares in their hands at market price. Put those shares under your names and Wind Demon's.
Also, rename Doom Group to Rebirth Group. Handle the procedures yourself. Susan, prepare to take over the company. I don't want any chaos."
Howard, the part-time lawyer, nodded. "Yes, Boss."
Susan asked hesitantly, "Mr. Wang, it doesn't seem like they agreed to sell their shares?"
"I agree! I agree to everything! I'll sign the contract immediately and give my shares to Mr. Wang for free!"
Ned shouted in terror. He only wanted to get as far away from Andrew as possible. The other directors were the same. Their hearts were filled with fear. Forget opposing Andrew in the future—even hearing the name Andrew Wang would make them tremble all over.
Moreover, that earlier scene would torment them for the rest of their lives, unless they were willing to make up for their mistakes.
"Give them away for free? You make me sound like a bandit."
Andrew was quite dissatisfied. "I won't rob you. I'll buy the shares in your hands at market price. As for the money to buy those shares, you'll give me an interest-free loan."
Howard grumbled, "How is that any different from robbery?"
"How can robbery by civilized people be called robbery? This is called righteous punishment."
Andrew shrugged and left the office—he had arranged to discuss an acquisition with the owner of the Daily Bugle.
If I want more souls, I need a media group of my own. Otherwise, how will the public know the truth? If they don't know the truth, how will they be afraid? And if they aren't afraid, how will they sell their souls to me?
I wonder what kind of Spider-Man exists in this world. Tobey's Spider-Man? Amazing Spider-Man? Or Holy Mother Spider-Man, who got Aunt May killed?
While Andrew was negotiating the acquisition price with the owner of the Daily Bugle, someone was discussing him. That was perfectly normal; after all, he had no idea how to keep a low profile.
"Andrew Wang appeared in Las Vegas more than half a month ago. He kept gambling and winning without losing a single time. The money major casinos lost to him totaled at least a hundred million dollars."
A sparsely haired White person reported to the one-eyed bald Black person on the computer screen, "Quite a few people went looking for trouble with him, but all of them disappeared. They were probably already killed.
More than ten days ago, Doctor Doom of Doom Group gave his shares to Andrew Wang. In addition, at noon today, all of Doom Group's directors sold their shares to him at market price.
We suspect that he is an Ability User with Hypnosis abilities."
"Why an Ability User rather than a mutant?"
S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury asked. His tone was clearly unpleasant when mutants were mentioned. The reason was simple: he could not control mutants, which meant the world was unsafe.
"He spent many days in Las Vegas. Las Vegas is Hellfire Club territory. If he were a mutant, Black King would definitely have sent someone to recruit him."
Level Seven Agent Phil Coulson said, "There are three major mutant factions: the moderate X-Men, the radical Brotherhood, and the elite Hellfire Club—the Hellfire Club still exists in this world."
"That makes sense."
Nick Fury thought for a moment, then said, "I have another matter to deal with recently. I'll leave Andrew Wang to you. Gather evidence, send someone to learn about his abilities, and then arrest him."
Andrew was, after all, a billionaire. They needed evidence before taking action. If he had merely been an ordinary person, Nick Fury would have directly captured him and interrogated him.
Coulson said, "His ability is unusual. I request Melinda's assistance."
"Melinda is unavailable. Send Natasha instead. She happens to be in New York watching a basketball game."
Nick Fury said, "After capturing Andrew Wang, transfer his funds into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secret account. Do not put them on the official books."
Coulson understood what Nick Fury meant. He hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Understood."
At night, beneath the somewhat dim streetlights, Andrew walked Susan home after she had worked overtime until now—the acquisition of the Daily Bugle had mostly been settled, but there was still a tremendous amount of work to do. After all, it was a major newspaper with its own television station.
The Daily Bugle's owner had originally been unwilling to sell, but Andrew had simply offered too much.
Seriously, why was a mighty Demon King working overtime? This made no sense!
Andrew grumbled to himself. Once the initial preparations were done, he absolutely had to find someone to help him manage Rebirth Group. He was here to enjoy himself, not to work.
At that moment, Andrew noticed that Susan seemed to want to say something but was holding back. He smiled and asked, "Is there something you want to ask me?"
"Yes."
Susan nodded and asked, "Mr. Wang, this may be a little presumptuous, but are you a mutant?"
"Just call me Andrew. I know what you mean. I'm not a mutant. Doom gave me those shares because he and I made a deal—a completely fair deal."
Andrew said, "As for those directors, Susan, there is a legend in Texas about a Ghost Rider. Have you heard it?"
"I've heard a little about it. He seems to be a Cowboy burning with blazing flames, searching everywhere for evil people to judge."
"Ghost Rider was originally God's Angel..."
Andrew told her about Ghost Rider, then continued, "If I told you that I was Ghost Rider, and that those directors were so terrified because I used the Eye of Judgment to intimidate them, would you believe me?"
Susan smiled. "Andrew, I'm a scientist, though I think dating Ghost Rider would be pretty cool."
Andrew smiled and said, "I ordered a Harley motorcycle online. When it arrives, I'll take you for a ride. You might change your mind then."
"I might not be free. My boss has given me a lot of work lately. On my very first day working for him, I had to work overtime until now."
"Your boss is really Damn It—uh, your boss seems to be me?"
Andrew said theatrically. They both laughed. Then they saw several Tattooed Men ahead beating up two Homeless People dressed in ragged clothes.
Susan, who had a strong sense of justice, immediately stepped forward and shouted, "Stop! What are you doing?"
One of the Tattooed Men turned around and looked at Susan greedily. "We're driving away monsters. Is there a problem?"
"Monsters?"
Both Andrew and Susan were stunned. They lowered their heads and discovered that one of the Homeless People had an especially large head covered in bulging veins, making him look extremely ferocious, while the other had fish scales on his face and looked deeply bizarre.
When the two Homeless People saw Andrew and Susan looking at them, they hurriedly pulled on their cloaks and climbed to their feet, trying to escape. The Tattooed Men refused to let them go and kicked them back to the ground.
