Background / History
Cavemen are one of the three major Humanoid races studied by human society, alongside Beastmen and Mermen. Human knowledge of them is limited: researchers know that they live underground, possess a hostile reputation, and organize into societies, but detailed information on their civilization, cultivation, food supply, and social structure is scarce. 23 69
According to later accounts, Cavemen were driven into the Underground World by Northern Land human powers after the Constellation Empire was established. This conflict created a hatred between Cavemen and humans that has endured for thousands of years. 1022
Their tribes repeatedly seek access to the human world through Space Channels. During the Xia Hai Province invasion, Cavemen Warriors attacked several cities before the surface force was eliminated. 111 126 In the Cavemen World, the Iron Tooth, Blood Axe, Cold Edge, Black Forest, and Blood Wolf City forces were among the groups encountered by Baili Qingfeng. 204 388 515 521
The Blood God Hall later mobilized Cavemen on a far larger scale. Shadoman commanded forces at Heavenly Pillar Plain, while Cardinal Bishop Danermas led the Dark Banner Knight Order and a 60,000-strong invasion army into the East Divine Continent. 618 684 696 The army was annihilated by three Plutonium Bombs after defeating the continent’s allied forces. 688 696
Following the Blood God Hall’s defeat at Kuyan City, Hei Chi and the local Cavemen submitted to Baili Qingfeng’s authority as the “Void Devil God.” Three thousand elite warriors were selected to mine ore and refine Blood God Steel for him. 805
Appearance
Cavemen resemble short, powerfully built humans, but their proportions and heavy body hair make them visibly distinct at close range. A typical specimen observed in Xia City stood roughly 1.5 meters tall; exceptionally robust individuals can exceed 1.6 meters. 23 67 342
- Dense body hair. 67
- Long, exceptionally muscular arms, compared to those of a silverback gorilla. 23 67
- Bulging upper-body musculature developed through constant digging. 23
- Warriors commonly wear armor and carry battle axes, swords, bows, or other weapons. 112 202 206
- Singers and priests may wear painted runes or body patterns rather than conventional armor. 202 207
Society and Culture
Tribes and military structure
Cavemen organize into tribes, cities, military camps, and Divine Hall forces. The Iron Tooth Tribe possessed a stone-walled settlement and hundreds of warriors, while the Blood Axe Tribe numbered roughly 13,000 people and maintained more than 3,000 combatants. 202 395
Their forces include ordinary warriors, elite warriors, armored leaders, Small Commanders, Commanders, Great Commanders, Knights, Grand Knights, Half-Step Legends, and Legendary combatants. 391 392 784 794
- Singers — support combatants who use war songs to strengthen allied Cavemen and interfere with mental techniques. 205
- Priests and Priest Apprentices — religious personnel connected to the Divine Halls. 207 684
- Divine Hall Knights — armored elite troops serving organizations such as the Blood God Hall. 603 684
- Dark Banner Knight Order — an elite Blood God Hall order empowered by Danermas’ Domain. 684 688
Civilization and resources
Cavemen possess writing, books, armor-making, military organization, and mining technology. A Singer carried a beast-hide book containing illustrations and writing, while Cavemen also manufacture Chen Gold equipment and more refined armor incorporating Radiant Gold. 205 391 396
Their world is harsh, with limited food and dangerous wildlife. Scarcity of food and secure territory drives many factions to seek access to the human world. 618 684 The Iron Tooth Tribe specifically intended to use the “Golden Land” as a hunting ground, enslaving humans as a renewable food source while expanding into a kingdom. 207
Abilities & Skills
Mining and tunneling
Cavemen have exceptional talents for locating mineral deposits and excavating underground passages.
- Six equipped Cavemen can dig at a rate compared to a small shield machine. 23
- Their underground activity can trigger land subsidence, especially near underground rivers and geological faults. 23
- They can potentially cause artificial earthquakes through large-scale ground collapse. 23
- Their expertise later allowed them to mine ore and refine Blood God Steel in large quantities. 805
Physical prowess
Cavemen are physically formidable, with strength and endurance that make them dangerous even against trained human martial artists.
- A bullet-riddled Caveman was still capable of charging Baili Qingfeng with tank-like momentum. 67
- A War-level Caveman could overwhelm multiple Level 3 Warriors through brute force alone. 69
- In the Second World, Cavemen are assessed as naturally comparable to Body Refinement Grandmasters; with modern military training, they could reach War-level combat effectiveness. 498
- They can continue fighting after taking multiple gunshots unless vital points are struck. 609
Battle formations
Cavemen employ organized battlefield tactics rather than relying solely on brute force.
- They form defensive lines around Space Gates and construct stone walls, camps, and Arrow Towers. 200
- Warriors use coordinated formations to surround stronger opponents and restrict escape routes. 200 515
- Their Battle Formation techniques were the inspiration for the Aurora Empire’s Great Emperor Sword Art formations. 618
- Their combat literacy was noted as superior to Beastmen elites during the Kuyan City campaign. 784
War songs and spiritual resistance
Certain Cavemen use songs, roars, and ritual markings to affect morale and resist spiritual attacks.
- A shaman-like Singer’s war song could counter Baili Qingfeng’s Spirit Refinement technique. 202
- Singers inspire frenzy, fearlessness, and heightened fighting spirit in allied warriors. 205
- War-song users can significantly interfere with Spirit Refinement Manifestations, making them priority targets. 205
- Some Cavemen employ soul-stirring war roars, though their effect varies by the opponent’s mental strength. 368
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Battle axes and warblades — standard melee weapons used by warriors and commanders. 112 280
- Bows and arrows — used to defend settlement walls and deny enemies an approach. 206
- Plate armor — worn by elite warriors and leaders; some suits contain Chen Gold or Radiant Gold. 202 391 396
- Chen Gold — a widely mined metal used for weapons and armor. 154 649
- Radiant Gold armor — higher-value armor recovered from Cavemen forces. 391 396
- Hero’s Blood — a strength-enhancing potion whose recipe was offered by an Iron Tooth Tribe Singer. 207
- Tusked Boars and Battle Wolves — mounts used by some commanders and knight forces. 278 392
Relationships
- Humans — longstanding enemies; their conflict has continued for thousands of years and is regarded as nearly irreconcilable by both sides. 67 1022
- Baili Qingfeng — a major enemy feared as the “Nightmare Knight” and “Destruction Knight” after his repeated attacks on Cavemen tribes and Blood Wolf City. 603 615
- Hei Chi — Iron Tooth Tribe wise man and later priest who survived multiple defeats, warned other Cavemen about Baili Qingfeng, and eventually served him at Kuyan City. 395 699 805
- Shadoman — Blood God Hall Archbishop and commander responsible for Cavemen operations around Heavenly Pillar Plain. 618 628
- Danermas — Cardinal Bishop and Half-Step Legend who led the Dark Banner Knight Order during the East Divine Continent invasion. 684 688
